http://www.ferrarichat.com/ferrariads/showproduct.php?product=2761 Just listed this car. Please PM with any questions. Had 8800 miles on it yesterday, today it's more like 9050.
Can someone let me know if I've put up a proper asking price? Just want to make sure I've posted the asking price in the right range. Do I need to post more pictures as well?
Beautiful car, but you won't get $195. My dad is selling almost an identical car only it has tan interior, 9800miles and it's a 2001 for $168k. For basically identical cars the fact that ones a 2001 and ones a 2005 isn't a $30k difference. Good luck though.
Big difference to me between buying an 01 and the 05 was the factory warranty is still valid on the car. Not to mention it's only 2 years old versus 6.
Yes, but when the car has been properly maintained and well kept it's still tough to justify $30k more for cars that are so similar. Hopefully you get a lot for yours and we can point to your sale to add value to ours when we put it up later this summer. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have seen Milo's car and its quite exceptional. Lets remain positive on the price and expect that the buyer will determine value not someone who isnt in the market currently...
Don't get the wrong idea, I hope he gets the maximum possible because I think that would only be a good indicator for the value of ours also.
Hey Milo, that is a very nice looking car. I have a friend in Miami who si selling his Rosso Corsa F360 '04 and is asking $185k. He has added to the car the following: Le-mans X-OST system, hyperflow, upgraded ECU, rear view camera, front parking sensors, upgraded stereo system and 430 rims. Just as point of comparison.
195K is too much especially for a 9000 mile car. In reference you are priced above same mileage CS's. 05 is a tough year. It's a transition year for the 360's.
The other cars I have seen have more miles and are listed for 10-15k more than I put this one up for. Not to mention it's the "asking price". There are barely any 05's for sale and plenty of 04's with more miles going for 190+. I was told wholesale for an 05 with these options and miles is 185. Can you show me a link to the 05 CS with the same miles? I'd love to pick up one of those. This is also California which is a different market compared to Florida. I could easily pick up a less expensive car in Florida. Anyway, not in a rush to sell. I have the title in hand and can enjoy it while it's in the driveway.
If you check out the dealers' asking prices on Dupont Registry, they are all over $200k for a 2005 Spider. http://www.dupontregistry.com/autos/Search/DRauSearchResults.aspx?page=1&start=0&sorttype=1&makeid=31&catid=1&modelid=12&modelname=360&makename=Ferrari I suspect your $195k is a reasonable asking price for your car. Plus, your color combo is very popular, not too mention it is registered in California. Anyone buying in Calif. realizes the convenience of already having it licensed in that state (emissions, etc.). If someone is in the market for a nice, relatively new Spider, you won't have much competition in the marketplace. Good luck.
Your car doesn't appear to have the same options either. Thanks for the info. I can't believe several of the cars listed on dupont for 239k. Half the miles, some upgrades but less options. Having it registered here is great. I never changed the title on one of my other out of state cars because I just didn't have the time to get the car inspected and throw away a day or more at the DMV.
I dont think the asking price is that out of line. I'm sure it will sell in the high 180's so starting at $195 is reasonable. Ther are multiple 04's for sale in the 190's as previouslly mentioned so we'll see. I just bought a 01' red/tan 14k miles for $155 from a dealer so good luck selling your dads 01' for $168- take $10k off and your in the ballpark.
I just paid $167K for an 02 with 6500 miles on it even though the asking price was $172k. But who knows, when a buyer sees the Ferrari they want, a few grand isn't gonna make them a differance. Is it me? I looked at that Dupont link and has the 360 price gone up ( or maybe stayed steady) in the past 2 years when everyone thought the 430 was gonna make it drop like a ton of bricks?
After doing some more checking there are more 04's for sale above my asking price for an 04 with similar options and the same or more miles. Thanks for the advice!
It definitely seems like the prices have gone up or stayed the same from when I first started shopping. I think the 05 is a steal and you're right, a few grand at this price won't make that big of a difference, to the buyer or seller. I just wanted to be at the right price point so as not to scare of people who would perceive the car as overpriced yet not to do much haggling. I'm just not that into it.
Don't listen to Chase, your price is right in line, in anything, I think $168k is too high for an '01 (but I digress ) The color combo is spot on and it's got good options...miles are a bit high for an '05 but there aren't many Black '05s to go around, not to mention an '05 F430 Spider is $100k richer. You'll get what you want
A few months ago I sold my '04 360 F1 Spider, 7000 miles, red, tan interior (not daytona seats), just serviced, modular wheels, tubi exhaust, and I could not get a penny more than $180,000, which is what it sold for. Spent 30 days trying to sell it on numerous places. It has 6 months left on the warranty when it was sold. Sounds like you are about $5,000 too high in your asking price. I hope this helps.
Actually I think the 430 spyder prices being so far in the ozone layer have caused the 360 spyders to resurge. It seems to me that all 360s and 430s jumped by 20 to 30 K in the last month. Go figure. Summer?
