My F430 Spider has the factory trickle charger; however, my F430 coupe does not. What are the options in terms of type of charger? Dare I use a non-factory one - I checked the search function and am still somewhat bewildered

    TIA

No trickle charger, you want a battery maintainer. Deltran, go Deltran Battery Tender. Search this site. You will find much written about this topic.

Can I use my Harley Davidson charger on my 360? The plugs look the same.

I also recommend the Deltran Battery Tender Plus model. I just installed it on my 360. It is excellent and gives you indication when battery reaches 80% and fully charged. It also comes with more accessories for hook up, than many other brands. I installed the permanent "pig tail" to the battery terminals. It has a quick dis-connect on the other end. Plus it has an in-line fuse. It's ony $69.00 for the set-up. I bought it at Pep Boys auto parts here in Houston.

You're absolutely right. There is a difference. The tender is what he wants. All you need to know daily is that the green light is on and you're good to go.

If the factory one is anything like the one in the 360 expect it to quit pretty quickly. They suck. A $50 battery coniditoner does a better job, plus on the 360 you don't have to take the car apart to get to the connection.
