    Hello Guys,

It feels strange to post on such a personnal subject, but I have a weird feeling growing in me that I want to share.

I have still 2 months to change the options of my 599 coming in December.

Currently it's been ordered in rosso corsa, with black interior and red stiching, full carbon, and full leather (my god it's incredible that this is an option...), black "challenge" wheels, black side miror, and red caliper.

that should be hot, anyone has a picture of a similar spec model ?

    but...

I have that Griggio's attraction thing growing in me...maybe it's age...

Should I go for a less "IN YOUR FACE HOMEBOY" combo ? My F430 is beautifull in red, but sometimes I would love being unnotice when going to the countryside (the main purpose of that lady)

Anyone experienced a similar color fading taste ?

    ...

to tell the truth... I'm about to change the F430 for a DB9 or a Conti GT...

    Thanks for your opinion guys.

    Stan

The colored stitching looks great when new, but would be a long term concern on appearance IMO....

Other than that, I'd go with the standard silver finish on "challenge style "wheels, easier to replace in the future should you need to do so.....

Tough problem to have! No sympathy from me, brudda! :D :D

I saw the 599Tour car in red....smashing! Silver would be MUCH more sedate...

For that money I'd want them to see me!

Seriously, silver cars are tough to spot in many light conditions, making red a safer color......

Scrap the black mirrors and wheels, leave them as they are supposed to be (I think black wheels are the ugliest thing you can do to a wheel). Do red inserts on Daytona trim, maybe even red piping.

    Just my opinion.

Agree, red inserts with standard black stitching on the black interior....

Hey, I was trying to be more tactful, on the wheel color, but agree.
The tire is black, after all......;)

I chose grigio silverstone + no shields, hoping to be plus classe and have a lower profile. I can't say it's worked, here in my part of the US the car seems to attract a lot of attention. Color may not matter as much as I thought.

I say- get it how you want it. I might suggest with your combination that you request the diamond stitch pattern for the seats, the head liner and the rear parcel shelf.

    best regards,
    Jerry

+1. Only option to avoid is the shift lights which are distracting at night.

    ok,here's my 2 cents.
-tone down the red to a deep rich nonmetallic burgundy.
-black interiors appear as a "black hole". go w/ a cream colored leather w/ burgundy carpet to set off the cream seats(w/ matching burgundy daytona stipe seats. light colors highlight the great italian craftnanship.
if burgundy carpet is offputting, go w/ mahogony/honey colored carpet w/ cream leather(w/ honey colored daytona stripes on seat).
-all black wheels again will appear as a "black hole". what do you think of black spokes w/ polished outer rim?
    -red calipers
    good luck.....

Yes, through TFT settings menu, I forget which choice. Same menu as repeat speed on TFT.
A strip of 35% tint does fine too, I have considered and rejected same. I just push harder on the throttle, the lights go away quickly. As do I.
Color really doesn't matter on this car. It is noticed far too much for my tastes, and I would only advise that red limits your ability to use the car stealthily.
Hey Andrew. My French is too poor to write this. My Italian has improved dramatically after ordering my car though ;)
I considered black/mercury wheels ala Todt, and the CF mirrors weren't available/too blingy. I had black with red daytona inserts in one of my Maranellos, loved it.

I may be upsetting some people here but I believe that large Ferarri GT's are never as good in red as they are in darker and bolder colors. My personal preference is Black, but I think that Pozzi blue (a very appropriate choice for a Parisian 599) is also stunning. Silverstone is nice but common these days and TDF blue is equally as good as Pozzi. If you are leaning to a red shade the Rosso Rubino is wonderful on the 599 - much more so (IMO) than Corsa or Scuderia. The darker colors look spectacular with tan leather, set off by body colored stitching and piping. You must get the seatbacks in leather, but if you choose a light colored leather do the rear shelf in dark carpet as the leather reflects headlights behind you in your rearview mirror.
Whatever you choose, the car is thrilling and wonderful, but very different to the 430.
IMO to exchange the 430 for an AM DB9 or Conti GT is going backwards, trading a real sports car for a boulevard cruiser. You should get a Porsche GT3 for less money but waaay more fun and it will be a fine stablemate to the 599.

My first 599 was Rosso Scuderia with Beige. My second is Argento Nurburgring with Nero. The interior is extremely understated with Daytonas (no highlight colour), thick stitching in black, full black leather, sports seats, black carpets, lower carbon (my red car had upper carbon) and a black leather covered rollbar. I am getting the shift lights. they are fantastic. I want a subtler car than Rosso Scuderia. I am also getting stock wheels on my second car as opposed to the 20" on my first car

I have a 599 and a GT3RS and could not agree more. Get the RS. It is magic. Forget the stats and the reviews and actually drive the car. Then you will understand

The best color combo IMO is TDF blu over Sabia. Yellow calipers, yellow rev counter, shields, Challenge wheels.

I love Argento Nurburgring. I would get red or bordeaux leather though ;).
Are you getting racing seats ? What color for the calipers ? And when is she due ?

sounds beautiful. I say scrap the black side mirror thing. If you do decided to go grigo, you should defintaly stay with the black wheels. Either way I would say black wheels FTW.
