Yes I saw that trailer. It is very weird, I wonder what it might be. Funny thing is, as soon as I saw the fireball things crash down first thing I thought was "great, another War of the Worlds".

 

What was that old movie about escaping from NYC? I think it's something like that

Theres a lot of talk about this film....great marketing campaign so far.

Feels very Lovecraftian

 

I thought that was the greatest preview I have ever seen. It took away my interest in seeing Transformers, I was so curious about it.

The working title for the film has been both Cloverfield and Parasite...but the actual title hasnt been announced yet

Its a giant monster(s) movie shot entirely on home video cameras from the point of view of real people experiencing the attack in NYC.

because of the blogs many are thinking its related to the writings of HP Lovecraft and his stories about giant monster Gods, such as Cthulhu, attacking earth.

Then theres the name Ethan Haas. That is a character Jason Ritter played in a 2006 TV show called The Class. But its unlikely that has anything to do with this film.

I live close to east Colonial and Bithlo isn't too far from here. I might actually drive through that area tomorrow if I head out to the beach near Cape Canaveral. Really weird that website would be registered there...

 

It's not a bad area. There was a bunch of new housing suburb divisions there last time I was in Orlando, around 01-02. Typical 200K houses/etc.

 

The house is owned by someone named Jessica Mock and it was bought in March 2006. That's really odd it would be registered to that house. Should I stop by tomorrow and ask her some questions?

There is a Godzilla currently being made but this has nothing to do with it.

 

The roaring sound and they guy getting ready to leave for Japan made me think it was Gojira... clever concept about the POV though. It's like how we cobbled together what we have from 9-11.

I just had a phase when I was a kid where I watched a bunch of Godzilla movies. Even the bad 1985 one repeatedly and the Raymond Burr edit of the 57 one.
