Dam. haven't checked in a while. Ron, very glad you are OK. Simon and Amanda.
Just logged into Fchat today after some time out. Sorry to hear about your accident Ron. Hope you heal quickly. As someone pointed out earlier, the F1 thread will not be the same without your passionate tifosi attitude. Miss you buddy!
Raini, Your father is very much loved and respected in this huge circle of friends. He has touched all of us in many ways. He genuinely cares about his friends and always goes the extra mile and always takes the time to help make things better for us. It is easy to back him up or stand by him or pick him up when he is down as we know he would do it for all of us in an instant without question. We all want him to recover as quickly as possible because he is very much missed. If you need anything at all you can contact any of us. Bill
Rani: Although I'm not from Fla I've met your father several times and my wife has made some minor travel arrangements for him. Go up to the racing section. He has friends there that wish him a speedy recovery.
Ron, I read your post. If you weren't in your car who knows what could have happened. The BB gave its life for yours. Hopefully you can have full recourse from the original perpetrator. And hopefully you are home and can watch the race. Work hard at physical recovery but take your time. -F
Raini: it was good to see you and your sister on his bedside. This outpour of best wishes for your dad is just the tip of the iceberg. Many here have said that anything he needs they will do for him. Those are not just words but would immediately be backed by action. Any other day Ron would be the one jumping to any of our bedside and offering help, comfort and give anything for any of us. This is the person your dad is, giving without asking for anything in return. There is only two people he would give more: you and Alex. We are blessed to call him a friend. You are blessed to have him as your father.
Although we have not met, I feel that I know you from my conversations with your dad. I usually speak to Ron every other day and he always mentions his daughters. If you have an opportunity, you should take a moment and thank Gaby, Martin and Fred, they have been an extension of your family from the moment the issue happened. I unfortunetly have not had the opportunity to see him yet, but will stop by shortly. Martin, Can you link this thead to the General Discussions as well, so it is NOT just linked to Florida ??? Ron has many friends that are outside of Florida relating to the world of Ferrari. Ron, Hope you are feeling better. I have tried several times to call you on the phone that Fred gave you. When you have a chance, give me a call !!!
I had it posted in Racing where Ron is a constant poster. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=157122
yeah, martin, fred, and gaby...i am sure ron truly appreciates you guys and all of your help. ron, hope you're feeling good! i am sure every day that goes by you are feeling better!
I spoke to Ron over the phone this past Friday evening. He sounded pretty good and it was great to hear his voice. I was going to drive down there this past weekend but got sidetracked. Sorry Ron. Per Ron, he has surgery and some graphting scheduled for today. ****Keep him in your thoughts and and prayers for a great outcome.
Hang tough Ron, we're all pulling for you! Sounds like today will not be fun, but every day you are getting closer to being back home. BT
I tried calling him this morning but now I know why he did not answer !!! Gaby or Martin can you Please let us know how today went.
Hi! I just wanted to let you all know that Ron had a great weekend... why? you have to ask? Ferrari won!!!! anyway, he may not have the surgery today. There are other patients who need the doctor more right now. If it doesn't happen today it may happen tomorrow, but more likely on Wed. 'cause that's when the doctors do surgery...Mon.,Wed, etc. not Tuesday. He's looking much better and has put in an order for pizza, wings, and champagne! Wahhhooooo. I'm delivering it tonight if all goes as planned. Again,Thank you all for being here. This thread means the world to him! He'll be back before you know it! Ron is such a sweet man. There is a 14 month old boy on the ward with Ron. He has burns too. Ron got him toys! I tried to find him a Ferrari guys, but they don't make one for the "little people". Maybe we should all write Ferrari and get them to start the line.... you know "get 'em young, train 'em right"...go Ferrari! P.S. Ron take your vitamins!
I just spoke to Ron, it's happening today. in a few minutes he's suppose to be going in so PLEASE keep him in your thoughts. Please take a brief moment and think of him and send healing, positive energy to him and the doctors & staff assisting with all of this. We love you Ron! P.S. I'm saving all of his medicine cups and going to make jello shots for the "celebration" when he finally sees all of you.....
We make them Jello-Champagne. He is in surgery right now. Keep your toughts happy guys. He will be out soon. Gaby will be with him this evening for recovery. She is on her way. His cell phone is working again and you can reach him at his old cell number as of tomorrow. Give him some time to rest tonight. Josie and I will keep you up to date as soon as we have info.
BTW we should plan a nice party for him with everybody! We can do that here at the warehouse. In the right spirit...Barbeque would be fitting, no? We can roast a pork
Ron we are with you in spirit. Hope all goes well, may the healing gods smile upon you and see you through all of this. A couple of crossed fingers for good measure couldn't hurt either! I hope they put in the first string team or I'm gonna be pissed.........Hope to see you soon!
You know the skin graft has to be harvested from another donor area, don't you? They don't just pull it off a roll, like Saran Wrap...... Poor guy, it won't be fun...... Maybe a chilled seafood tray be be a better fit, with some veggies on the side!
