    Pontiac Beaumont

    Pontiac 2+2 Sport Coupe

    Pontiac Firebird

    Mercury Cougar

    Ford Mustang and convertible {seems to be a lot of the convertibles}

    Chevy Nova

Just adding and subtracting cars to the "possible" list.

P.S. These will all be the older versions, no recent remakes.

For a daily driver the Mustang is easy to get parts for, cheap to maintain and they run forever. I have had a number of classic Mustangs, and I used to work at California Mustang in Industry. You can buy almost any part for a 65-73 Mustang from floor pans to gas caps.

I bought a '70 Dodge Dart about 4 years ago and sold it just last year when I moved. Got it for fun but I could have easily made it a daily driver. I remember driving it to work one frigid December morning because the battery died on my much newer Chrysler. Once the car is sorted it's ridiculously easy (and cheap) to maintain, even the V8's; plus you can get AC and power brakes/steering. If you have any specific questions feel free to PM me.

Thanks for the post and the offer.

I'm currently in the stage of learning which cars were/ are crap and which ones are fairly simple to own.

If I do point in the Dart direction I'll drop you a line, thanks.

Out of that list, I think the Mustang would be the easiest & cheapest to keep on the road. Followed closely by Chevy.

Yeah I think out of that list I would rather the looks of the Mustang.

You got me on the joke?

I talked to a few regular Joes who have a Mustang each and another with a Malibu and they all repaired/ restored them over a few years, here and there.

The kicker is they work at a Speedy Muffler & Brakes shop.

One of them also gave me a run down on parts like cheap motor parts, nearly free trim pieces, interior parts that were cheap etc.

All widely available and easy to install.

    Hi :)

I can vouch for the Chevy Nova...my first car was a '72 Nova SS and I loved it!!
Fun to cruise around in the summer and very reliable in the winter...tough motor and always started...and a real heater...that actually blew hot air
The usual upkeep...never had any problems with getting parts

I thought I should go for something more "modern" and sold it...what a mistake that was....

    I own "old" again lol

Mustangs are reliable too...my brother in law drives his all year round

    Good luck

    Hannah

Thanks. I like the Novas but there's one wheel they have that turns my stomach. I would have to replace them immediately.
