I never wavered in my belief in Kimi's abilities. Talent is talent and he is a member of the top three club in F1. But talent is useless if not "activated". He didn't use it after Malaysia and that's why I lost hope.
Me too. This is the biggest plus I can think of for Massa, in that he really, really wants to be a racing driver. I imagine he lives and breathes it completely. Kimi on the other hand is simply faster. Pete
So now that Kimi has flipped the switch, the Scuderia really is in an excellent position: They got one of the fastest drivers winning race after race for them and they got one of the hardest working and most motivated drivers collecting points for the constructor's title and taking them away from other WDC contenders. It looked very bleak a month ago, but now it starts to look like a long lasting relationship. PS: As a token of my new found faith in Kimi, I have my next helmet painted Iceman style. Yeah, baby!
Andreas, did you see Kimi's 2007 Monaco helmet? The back of it had girls on it...it was very cool. I'll see if i can find a picture.
nevermind, I'm thinking of his 2006 helmet: Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
My last helmet is painted Schumi style. And has his original sig. Callaides: That Monaco party design is very cool, but as a Tifoso I'll have to go with his current design.
Massa Bashers: Kimi is only 1 point ahead of Felipe under the new points system. Massa would be 4 points ahead of Kimi under last year's system. I'd say they are both good drivers. Too close to call as to which one will end up on top at the end of the season IMVHO.
Phil your getting too excited again, what do you mean Massa would be ahead under last years system? Are you speaking about the Point System prior to the 03 Season?
Yes, the point system has not changed since then so this argument is not valid. Not that it was valid when Schumacher made reference to it in 2003; you have to win the championship on the point system that is in place - not on what you would like to be or what it was 1, 2, 10 or 50 years ago. Good to see Kimi motivated again. But I think Massa might win a few still. At least it looks like a battle again. Forza Ferrari! Onno
Check your math, dude. According to post 19 in the New vs Old system thread http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=154430 updated after Silverstone, Kimi is the one up by 4. That is of course if BMW.SauberF1Team did his math correctly I haven't done the math and don't plan to. But I feel that the Kimi/F2007/Bridgestone package is finally starting to jell. The next couple of races will show if Kimi has finally gotten to grips with the car for the balance of the season.
