    Thanks, we try.

I meant if you were driving the Ferrari GTO (either kind).

And the plate should probably have the comeback (after you showed him the brakelights) - 2TUF4U

But we should not worry - that RicearoniTurbo may well have been crushed courtesy of your Burbank cops by this time.

    Cheers,

    James

oh if i were driving the Ferrari GTO? yes, 2TUF4U is a good one. i think if i went the vanity plate route it'd be something funny like that. like BYE BYE or NTRL HI. like that.

So 1 out of 2 or 3 people you know makes this true?

Exactly so - but Bonzelite and I had a good laugh about it.

I guess if you have a handicap sign hanging on your mirror, you should be immune...but there was that weird case of the amputee chase in Florida, I suppose.

You would have thought such drivel as this would have come from Ward Churchill in Boulder, Co. rather than Ft. Collins.

The adjective form of vainglory (which would be "vainglorious") would have worked better here. I know, I know....I'm a stickler for this stuff.

Kudos for using an uncommon word, though. I like that.

Does this mean I should take down the dice hanging from my rearview mirror, rename my car to 'Rambler':), and remove my bumper stickers that say "I may be slow, but I'm ahead of you" & "Guns don't kill people, but I do" ?

Any of the "talking like you're on a ledge" crowd want to explore the notion that personfying your vehicle is a way to mentally transfer responsibility from the driver to the metal?

I've toyed with the notion of bumper stickers which read, "'Drive' is a verb, not a gear", or "Go when you go, stop when you stop -- half and half is always wrong".

But a depressing number of people miss seeing the whole car, much less a bumper sticker, or words written on a bumper sticker.

Now I'm thinking more along the lines of rotating beacons and wingtip strobes.

    Or sidewinder missiles. ;)

How long before the trucks have to beep when moving forward, too?
    (Another whole "responsibility transfer" issue.)

You're probably joking but from what I've seen this is almost the primary cause for road rage incidents. Why instigate a potential rager? Just let them pass...

I find that hanging my revolver from the mirror, does a good job of deterring road rage.............;)

And the only stickers on my Ferraris are the "100 Club Member" for families of police officers killed in the line of duty, and the Fourth Man Foundation, organized by the Firefighter's Union.....in memory of Chief Janke, lost on a three man crew.......

    Drive on........any speed you choose!

    Bumper stickers?

    How ambiguous can you get?

Clearly someone with a "my kid is an honor student at XXX high" has a completely different mindset than someone with a "my kid can beat up your honor student".

Bet taxpayers paid for this study too.

I dont want to cover THAT bet.

However - as stupid as this all sounds, remember when Audi put it out that they were only going to do their interiors in "neutral shades of grey" because they had discovered that black made drivers "more aggressive"?

I guess they kind of shoved this idea to the back of the pile sometime later.

    1. I was at the dealership getting my current car serviced (not a Rolls) and saw this plate on a new Rolls

    BTMS UP

I guess if you are being driven, you can have a plate that indicates you are a drunk

    2. In San Diego on business, I saw some kind of Japanese car that had been fast and furious modified with the following:

    RICER

    A good sense of humor.

    3. This last one is from Dallas, a surgeon neighbor who drives a Porsche Turbo

    DVORCD

The funny thing about this one is that he is married and has never been divorced.
