I decided to sell my '04 F360 and put an order in on a new 997 TT Cab...I know, not a Ferrari, but I need the 4 seats...I wanted your opinion on where my car should trade...It is in mint condition with only 3,000 miles on it...I just had the 3 year service done...Here are some of the options in the car:

Red with tan interior, red contrast stitching and red leather stripe on the seats; not sure what to call it...black leather dash
F1 trans, hi fi system with 6 disc changer, modular wheels, scuderia shields, red calipers, rear challenge grill

It was really well cared for in every way...I looked around the internet and it seems like they are offered between $170-179k...Where do u think these are trading??

Not that its any of my business but you do realize that porsche is going to be money down the drain with its depreciation rate? That said I'd say price seems about right.

I assume the 360 you want to sell is a coupe and not a spider? I just bought last monthe a 2005 360 Spider and researched extensively the Ferrari market for coupes and spiders, both for 360s and 430s. I went with a 360 because the businessman in me said not to spend $100K more for a 430. Your price if it is a coupe in my opinion should see a sold price of $160K to $165K and it will most likely take awhile to sell it if you do it on your own. Now, why do you want to buy a porsche TT cabriolet? Read the most recent motor trend, they had less than glowing comments on the TT. I also had a 2005 porsche TT cabriolet and hated it. Get a Corvette Z06, best sports car I have ever owned and that includes the 205 immaculate 360 spider I have. I hope this helps.

I appreciate the help...I am getting the 997 tt cab because I want the feel of an exotic, however, I need a four seat car...I have kids that like to drive with me...I have driven the '07 997 TT and it was a real blast...I know the car will get crushed in value for sure, however, I will have it for atleast 5 years and use it more like a daily driver than my 360...When the kids get a little older, I will be in the F-car game again...I am going to miss it for sure...I'd keep it but I just won't use 3 cars enough to justify it...

i was in the same situation -- I opted for an M3 convertible for the kids (5yr old boy, 7 yr old girl) and for taking to Costco, and a 360 spider for me and my little man for having even more fun.

the TT porsche is beautiful as well, but unless your kids are tiny, those aren't sufficiently roomy back seats!

Keep the Ferrari and buy a cheap daily beater, for example I had a mint condition under $10,000 bmw 525i while the I had the Testarossa.

The kids like to ride with him in the Ferrari . They wont be pleased with a beater :) .

What about getting a Maserati Coupe and keeping the 360 ? Since you dont care about depreciation on the TT, which will prob lose a good 30-40k in 2 years , you can get a used Maser Coupe .Esp now with the new one coming, the coupe will be even cheaper and its a genuine 2+2 , much more than a 997 .

That is a good choice, however, I wated to go with a 2+2 cab since I have never owned a soft top...

Sounds like a nice car. I am thinking high 150's and like the others said it will take awhile to get that.
