I ran across this car on e-bay, which I might be interested in bidding on: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160137772069 He says that the mileage was messed up at the MVD (motor vehicle division), but according to carfax it goes from 7k to 54k to 65k. He says it is a mistake, but how could this happen? I could see 7k to 54k to 11k if the mistake was the 54k. Now it has "12.5k." The car does look nice in the pictures, does anyone have any information on this car?
add sounds fishy and used-car-salesman to me. Personally I am skeptical. Also, I don't believe the mileage story.
It should be easy enough to contact the previous seller who had the car while 54,000 miles were recorded over 3 years. I like the wheels and everything else looks good to me in the pictures. BT
Not sure I'd buy it based on the seller's English composition skills (LOL)... -HOWEVER- Other than the odometer fraud issues, what is really wrong with this car? I dont see any rock chips, oil leaks or interior wear. Am I a poor judge of Ferraris? Seems like every car that comes up for sale is torn apart by this site...
I got a headache trying to read the ad copy. There are no pix of the top or the top cover - I don't buy the story. If you're selling a car, show everything you can. In fact, the whole story of this car is that there are nothing bu stories here. I'd bow out. Too much chatting, possibly to deflect real scrutiny. If not, I'd definitely advise the lister to revise his copy. Nice wheels - 355 Spider rims. Sweet....
I think he is legit. I actually saw his ebay ad last year for the other 348 he sold. He was very long winded then also on his ad, but the car wound up selling for well over 50K i believe. If he has the service records etc, this car looks like a good buy to me!
