UAC is the User Account Control feature in Vista. Its the annoying as hell feature that makes that pop up come up whenever you attempt a system function. And for me, thats quite alot. One of the many things that annoy me about Vista

Quite annoying and id like to at least reduce the amount of pop ups.

Is it safe turn this off?

    Thoughts?
    :)

If you have to ask... :)

FWIW - I have it off on my installations, users should be expected to know the basics. You don't drive a Ferrari without a drivers license right?

The really nasty and clever crap turns it off anyway...

If you didn't get any crap in XP, you won't get any crap in Vista with UAC off.

Most games have official forums that usually include a tech section, try them.
