Where I have removed all the interior carpets and rubber soundproofing I have been left with a glue residue.
What would be the best product available in the Uk to remove it without affecting the paint underneath.

All the 'Obvious glue removers' I found stated do not use on painted products which is why I asked this question.

Thanks Tom, after doing a Google search it seems the best product. The only problem is it seems trade only and I couldn't see anywhere I could buy it.

They have Franchisees if you call their central number they will put you in touch with the one for your area, failing that give me a buzz on 01476 592777 and if you are going to Littlehavens I will bring some with me for you :)

    Cheers

Thanks for that Tom, I definitely won't be at Little Havens, its too far for me and we have the World Championships at our club this sunday.

I will contact their head office and see what I can get locally. Altough I have seen a few products on good old fleabay that might do the trick.

I was thinking about that too, Tom. Not sure if its worth stopping over night at Cambridge given that we have a two hour drive. Are nose bleeds cureable ;)

I contacted them this morning and they do a minimum of 5 litres, so I might see if I can get some from a local garage.

Panel wipe is used to degrease/clean the panels prior to paint, we use it to remove the surplus glue on header rails etc prior to fitting new hoods.

I did see some when I did a google search. I bought a cheap spray can of tar remover from a pound shop this morning so I was going to give that a bash first. If not i'll try neat petrol as Hudson suggested.

The cheap Tar remover I bought from a pound shop worked superb. And it was fine with the paint. I'm pretty sure it was by Car Pride.

That's quality work you did there Pete!

How did you run the wires to the engine compartment? Any photos?

    Thanks Erich.

I will be running the wires through convoluted tube and it will go via the hole in the centre right where the main lot of wires go to the engine and rear lights.

I will be posting loads of pics when I have it fully done. I am having problems getting the Ht leads made up as the Taylor leads that came with Nick Forzas kit are 8mm, and the Ferrari boots are 7mm.
