Does any body know of a good one somewhere around Sudbury? My Dad is looking for a new place to take his 98 740iL. He want to avoid the high rates at FMW or another dealer, and is fed up with the Sullivan Tire near our house which said they are very familiar with BMWs but have been unable to resolve problems even after multiple visits. If there isnt a good independent shop around then I think it is back to dealership service for him, so if you know of one please let me know, thanks.

Near Sudbury? I've had a couple of quite good experiences with Auto Engineering (a/k/a Autobahn East) in Lexington. (No, nothing to do with the old Auto Engineering, they just bought the building and assumed the name after a couple of years.)

Did a lot of work last month on my E38 740iL. Very pleased.

I can vouch for AutoEngineering in Lexington also.

Ernie and Chip are great guys. The do work on my Lotus some times. Ernie is 15 year ex-FMW BMW repair tech. Great shop, very high tech dealer level equipment...they are excellent at diagnostic work.

They are on Rt 2a. The website is: http://www.autobahneast.net/
