Nice having you all on here to be honest Dan Suprised Graham cant fix it tho, he's usually quite good at that sort of stuff Must be another hosting company he could tranfer to?
I believe the location of the server has suffered from "excessive rainfall" and staff can't get in to fix it. Out of Graham's hands.
IMHO Not worth the considerable aggro and expense if it's only for a couple of days. Probably take longer than that to get it all set up.
MMMM according to their own bumf NO customers are experiencing extened outages Bit worrying that the hosts dont operate a mirror server at another location, I thought that was standard practice these days? Anyone any idea how long the board will be down?? Cheers Tom
I read that too Tom, but as is evident - they are wrong! Well Fasthosts are one of the biggest ISPs around so I would be surprised if they aren't adhering to best practice. I doubt anyone knows how long it will be down.
I would be surpirsed if a hosting company doesn't have a disaster recovery "bunker" setup, most usually do, as thats how the offer the ultimate uptime, maybe your on the Ghia package Rich? It's nice but can live without it options!
A nice bit of gardening in between the showers. Zymolling your cars yourself rather than getting Dave to do it
well i am putting water into bottles and sending them to TOMMO as you should help others who are having difficult times
I don't see how they can be tbh Francis our website hosts mirror the servers in two differring geo locations, the same with our Computer database for kit production seems odd that Fasthosts dont do the same. I bet Graham doesnt let this happen again Cheers Tom
