Its a slow trip down my driveway, but yes, the 308 clears everything fine and actually does not groan as much as the Boxster does. Nope, my company uses badges too, I'm in the mortgage business, not software nor hardware. Good guesses though I'm going to advertise the boxster soon, I'll PM you if you're seriously interested in the boxster. Yeah, I really wanted the RIGHT car, not just A car. I really think this car, Bella, will last. While its not a 5K mile garage queen 328, it was treated well over the last 16 years as a psuedo garage queen but regularly maintained. As I've said all along, I'm not a wrencher type. so I really needed to find a car that I could drive for a while without "figeting" with little stuff. This is the only local car I've looked at that was that way. Robert...... seriously i dont know what to say, you're a great guy, and went well beyond what was required. You're honest, respectable, honorable and just a down right nice guy. Thanks for making this a great experience for me. For those on the list, you really have NO IDEA how far Robert went for me on the car, and no, thats not a "price" thing, he really loves this little car and made me feel like i was gaining a friend, not buying a car, which I hope continues to be true. He's literally known this car longer than he's known his wife! Of course, get you're name changed and get a new car You just have to think of a name for her, since your baby Bella is gone. FYI, I did my first break-in run with bella last night at 2am, just around the block and down the street, she's going to be a fine woman, I can tell. James in Denver
Just don't get a Boxster. Some of the other guys here might give you a lot of grief, at least that's what I've heard.
Well, if you had bought a 5K mile 328 you'd be miserable every time the odometer clicked over or just pull up a chair in the garage and look at the car that someone will drive someday. Now you can actually drive one, guilt-free.
Congrats from another '84 QV owner. Let me know if (when!) you have any issues. The good news is that these are great cars, the bad news is that I'm not too anxious to "trade up" since I will likely not have as good luck (reliability, cost, parts, community....) in another car. You may feel the same way soon. As for the name, I don't call my car anything, although my wife usually preceeds the word "Ferrari" with "that stupid". Good thing she's good looking (the wife, I mean).
GRATS on the new car James!!! Drive her in good health!! (the cigar looks like an Ashton... not a bad cigar)
Congrats! Nice to see Ferraris in Colorado stay in Colorado. Also, there's a really nice '04 6-speed red/tan certified 360 with a warranty listed on ebay right now.
This looks like a nice replacement for him and it is local http://www.ferrariofdenver.com/inventory_detail.cfm?id=778
Congrats James! I've seen your posts here for so long now... very glad you found the right car! Hope to see you on one of our upcoming runs... maybe this weekend! Mike in Louisville
Congratulations on such a momentous occasion in your life, I can't imagine the thrill of your first F-car. Take good care of her, and I'm sure she will reciprocate the treatment.
Thanks, but a little out of my price range, I need to be around $125K. Thinking a 99-01 possibly. Thanks for the heads up though. Robert
