am interested in what members have done to their 328 to increase performance. I am more interested in improving the 0-60 time rather than overall HP.
    Thanks

What is your budget? Seriously, there are no really cost effective "upgrades" to enhance performance on a 308/328. The cars are a very small nitch market that is not economically viable to be served by most tuners. You could turbo charge or supercharge, but it will cost you big dollars.

I say enjoy the car for what it is, the 328 is the pinnacle of the 308 series, and an awesome car...I certainly enjoyed my 328 GTS. I put a Tubi and K&N air filter on mine for a bit more noise, but it made no performance gain.

I would recommend that you have your car dialed in on a dyno though. You may not even realize that your car is slightly out of tune and not even performing to it's best ability today. I discovered this on my carbed 308 GTS and after some minor tuning, got it all back (about 20 to 25 hp). Ran way better too!

For example, I had new Bosch fuel injectors installed on my 328 and the car ran noticeably stronger and smoother above 5,000 rpm, but I never took it back to the dyno to confirm my subjective impressions....

I would concur with Mr. Rection. I have a Tubi on mine, and if it squeezed out another 2hp I'd be surprised.

Reduce diameter of rear tires giving an effective quicker rear ratio
    Open absorbtive non-communicating dual exhaust
    K&N
    Tune your K-jet to a WOT of A/F 12.8 ( :) )
Most of all, spend a week at a driver's school - it will make you remarkably faster and safer. It's amazing.

Russ's tire suggestion was my first thought too. Going to a lower profile tire would likely be the cheapest route and best bang for the buck (especially in the event you need new tires anyway).

The 328 models have so much drivetrain windup that makes the 1 two shift so slow you can light up a smoke while you wait for things to settle down back there. 3 litres are not going to get hole shots on auto vettes. When you street race it should be on freeways @ 65 speed limit and when a challenger comes up get 3rd and 90mph,you will be surprised what you can hold on to,[vettes].Deep dish front spoiler euro models go aero @ 85 and really slice thru the atmos to an engine displacement advantage nullification that makes 308s great trailers, run tucked in behind the leaders, effortless high speed cruisers. Remember 1965 LM.All the "fast cars" blew up and the little wheezer won.

Well you could go with a "Noorwoods" modification and turbo.....It will be super fast.....but will be costly. The first 328 I ever considered had Noorwoods modifications to it......and after much thought I walked away as I doubt I could ever get the 328 passed California SMOG. I am sure it would have been a blast to drive though. But as many have said on this forum before, most modern every day commuter cars are faster than a 328....So if you want a really fast Ferrari, buy one with a much bigger engine...or just enjoy the 328 for what it is...a very beautiful, elegant, engaging and fun to drive sports car.

every day commuters, are you kidding me!!!!!!!!! For a car that is 18 19 years old it still kicks ass, I don't know what you are comparing it to but believe me my 88 328 will give a few new age sports cars quite a run.........By the way I have a euro spec car and I had a few guys drive my car who own north american 328 spec cars and they all where amazed at the power of my car, they all said it is much quicker and alot more fun to drive.

A V6 Honda Accord coupe 6 speed will do 0-60 in 5.9 seconds, tops out at 153mph, and likely out corner and brake as well. BUT, nothing compares to the sound, feel and "soul" of a Ferrari, without a doubt! :)

There are plenty of inexpensive cars that will keep up and even outperform my 355...performance and time marches on...

    Recipe to drop a 328's 0 - 60 time:
    1. Unscrew the radiator cap.
    2. Pull away 328.
    3. Roll in a F430.
    4. Reinstall radiator cap.
    5. Done!

    :D:D
    Sorry couldn't help it.

    Dave

<edit> just noticed your profile. your stable tells me you already know the secret why we all still hold on to our slow 328's! ;)
