Very Impressive work.
the model looks excellent the interior is dead on also! but considering my daily driver nissan pickup costed me less than 5k i won't be purchasing one of these models anytime soon!
The owner received the model and loves it. He will be showing it to Jean Todt next week. Soon I will have pix of his car to post side by side with the custom made model.
That looks awesome! Your quality in these models is unsurpassed! I continually see these and envy the owners of them. I wish I had the cash to buy up from you mate. Very very cool. Just curious, are these made from metal and could you make a 1/4 scale red/tan 348? As said, I cant really afford to lash out on one, just curious if you could make a 348, or any Ferrari model in fact? Thanks again!
Yup, mariner blue was found on the early 90s Miata. The blue of similar shade for the Porsche was Maritime Blue, and the lighter shade Riviera Blue. Very impressive model by the way.
Any model can be made, but scratchbuilt one-off projects get really pricey, ie US$15K and up. We just had a 1/10 scale 250TR built - metal with all opening doors and compartments. So your 348 could be made, but at a price....
Very skilled, there is just no way in the world I could ever do anything like that - I get a headache just thinking about it different planet....
Thanks for the reply Morry. : Very cool and I wish I had that sort of money to spend on a model. Cheers again mate.
You missed out - I had a 1/12 348tb for just over $1000 that could have been customized to match your car...but the edition is now sold out.
How much will cost to build a 1:1 scale model of comparable quality?Scratch build from CAD data? As far as I understand this is not you building those models? Is it right that you sale them? Am I wrong? Ready to stand corrected. Thank You Ted
The color is actually called Blu mariner and a guy in the SF Bay area ordered his F430 coupe in that color. He's had the car for a couple years and takes it to just about every show & track event at Laguna Seca, Sears Point, & FCA nationals last year in VA and it should be at The Glen this year. He's also shown it at Concorso Italiano where I overheard someone refer to it as "Smurf Blue".
Funny enough the F430 coupe in this month's Forza magazine is "Mariner Blu" and the article mentions the 599 being made in the same color...the very car we patterned this model after. We just finished another model in "Monza Red" which is stunning...the color they launched the 599 GTB.
I just got some large models of the two 599 GTBs that toured from Brazil to NY...will post pix soon...
You guys do an incredible job. How do you like to work...off photos...or off the order or invoice? I noticed you did a nice job on the interior CF pieces on this car. My new car will have the CF upper and lower interior zones, as well as CF in the engine compartment (air boxes, intake manifolds, etc.). 430 spider. Thanks.
Hi Kurt, If you email me directly to [email protected] I can send you hi-res pix of various 2 ft. long handbuilt Ferraris we have done for owners - 599 GTB, F430 coupe & spider, etc. All are done in association with Ferrari using CAD & CAM files and all details are reproduced...carbon fiber, etc. Morry
