Why does Peter Windor softball these guys like he is in a Presidential press conference? He let's those guys blow off his questions without even attempting to get a real answer out of them. Irritating.

Here's my game plan if I were Lewis's manager (Anthony) - I'd tell Mc Laren to shove it where the sun doesn't shine and walk out now. He'd be picked up like a hot cake immediately. That would leave Mc Laren hanging out to dry - oop's there's a spare driver in F1 - they could pull Speed from the dump.

Did you see Ron Dennis throw his headset and then pull the headset off Alonso's engineer's head - I think Ron's a bit pissed.

Alonso's comments in the press conference are lies - I personally don't consider Lewis' comments about you know what happened to be anything but the truth and his comments about "you should ask the team about that" is priceless. GO LEWIS. Hope he wipes out Alonso tomorrow.

Great to see Nick on the podium.

    Carol

The big question of who's faster Lewis or Alonso was definitely answered today - GO LEWIS.

The **** is hitting the fan with Mc Laren right now.

I don't want to see any McLaren on pole, but if it had to be one, I'd prefer Hamilton. What Alonso did was terrible. He really should be sanctioned by either the team or F1. I knew Alonso was an a**hole, but that was even low for him.

    Mark

Edit: I must have accidentally clicked the smilely face...I'm not smiling at all, that was a sad/pathetic quali.

i would suspect that its because a professional can tell immediately if hes going to get the answer he wants or diplomatic stonewalling.

Just saw it on Speed, and obviously RD wasn't pleased. The guy he had around the collar (Alonso's pit manager) had a ****-eating grin though. Looked as guilty as sin. Alonso made haste getting away from RD also...didn't want to hear about it.

The only person on that team currently maintaining any shred of dignity is Hamilton. He is a true gentleman...I know most of us would have dropped Alonso for that stunt, but he handled himself with great character. I hope Alonso's car has the old 'ker-BLAM-O' tomorrow. It would be poetic justice for his slimy demeanor. I have NO respect for him now.

How can Alonso lie with a straight face? He can't! He wore the same expression as Schumacher in Monaco last year.

Windsor to Hamilton - "so by how much time did you miss putting in your fast lap"

Hamilton - "by the amount of time I was held up in the pits"

That's brilliant! Way to put the boot in while not stooping to Alonso's level!

Schueys big mistakes were always in the heat of the battle with the red mist. Alonso was stopped and calmy waiting for the time to pass - he is much more of a cheater. Unbelieveable. If Ron has gonads he'll sack him on the spot.

Alonso is a scumbag...is the only way I can put it. Never liked him and now I hate the goof. While the question was being asked about the long pitstop Lewis was shaking his head while looking to the left at Alonso (signifiying yes tell us Alonso what happened there) Alonso was lieing through his teeth like crazy when he gave his long answer. When Lewis was asked about the Alonso pitstop he said...."I dont know you will have to ask the team about that" Looks to me like there is real trouble in the McCheater team on and off the track. Ferrari looked bad today while Kimi blew it again as Massa had big problems with the handling of his car. It may be all but over for Ferrari this year so I will be refocusing on Lewis to kick the Arse of the goof the rest of this season even though they may well be excluded after the next hearings.

If that had happened to Alonso......Well lets say you would have seen spit hitting the lenses at the question period. This guy is truly unbelievable....he is cold and calculating and is not and will not ever be a team player. All his whinning at his team and all his whinning excuses in the past all make sense now...He is a goof period. With all that has gone on on and off the track its a wonder that the McCheater team will even be able to retain any fans or sponsors next season.

Hamilton was very upset but handled himself quite well and showed so much class while not spitting out spiteful words. I am growing to like the young gent very much while my dislike for FA is close to becoming my loathing of FA.

This after Alonso started a childish fight with Massa. He should be black flaged from this race and fined heavily. On a more important note, I really hope Massa and Kimi can somehow finish at least 3rd and 4th.

Fernando Alonso does not get my respect. I mean, Lewis IS on his team...I could understand doing it to Kimi or Massa, but HAMILTON? Arsehole supreme, in my book. Here's to hoping Hamilton blows by him tomorrow as his car belches smoke, oil and Alonso's mendacious dreams.

But did you see *after* Alonso left the pits? He had to be the only one, in those conditions, that was waggling the car to "warm his tires" (using up a lot of a narrow track) ----- just as Kimi was coming by for his hot lap.

I think the delay was to time it so Alonso would be on his "warm up" lap, just where it would be hard to get around him when Kimi came by on his hot lap. (The Ferraris were at their best on S1,S2) So I suspect the point was to mess up Kimi's qualifying times.

Shafting Hamilton out of his last run was just gravy (and maybe those extra seconds Alonso added on).

    Now *that's* classy.

If Schumi had pulled that pit delay stunt, half the board would be calling for his summary execution.

    It's official: Alonso is a "Block-head". ;)

A modest, classy driver can be forgiven the rare slip. A brash, egotistical jerk isn't going to get cut any slack at all.

Again, nobody would have forgiven Schumi that one. Heck: in digital video, Monaco looked like the car got loose on Schumi --- but nobody else seems to think it was an honest mistake. (And notice where Kimi wound up stopping at Monaco this year? :D)

This one was pretty blatant. Pity the FIA feed didn't show Kimi trying to get around Alonso -- they only showed Kimi off the pace, with Alonso in the background still waggling his car across the racing line.

I think that Alonso is wildly unpopular for his boorish behavior, but cheating against your own teammate is an inconceivable low. Like I said, I could understand him pulling that cr@p on a rival (though I'd still be critical of it), but to take the coward's way against his rookie teammate who is plastering his arse all over the track is way out there.

I think Alonso is the Barry Bonds of F1. His trangressions draw greater criticism because people don't like him as a person, similar to Bonds.

Don't count LH out just yet -- it will be a fuel management race. Because he missed out on a fast lap and he had an extremely slow last lap, LH has at least three more laps of fuel in his car than FA. Too heavy to catch FA at the first corner, but we'll see over the long haul.

The guy that Ron was talking or almost arguing with I believe was Alonsos pit board man. If it was then it was he that my have been helping Alonso with his stall tactics.
