Clearly a PPI is a good idea with any purchase, especially one as valuable as a silver or rossa subscription.

The account should still have it's major already complete for such a high asking price.

Has anyone had troubles with paying by credit card for a subscription. I have a credit card, I'd like to subscribe, but I dont want to deal with my credit card info being stolen...

This is truly a stupid excuse. Thats why you use a credit card. In case the number is stolen your not responisble. Would you rather send cash in the mail???

Holy ****, Im not using it as an excuse. I paid by credit card now ok? Seriously it was just a question. As a sidenote - I have never had problems sending cash in the mail ever.

Most credit card companies can give you a card number valid for one transaction only, so it doesn't matter if someone gets the info once the transaction has been completed. My card is a Bank of America Visa, and I can get a one-time number right off the website.

Its a warranted fear dont get me wrong but your card number is already out there. All it takes is someone with low standards that works in the position of access to sell it. JJ

Eh, I've been buying a large percentage of my things online for over ten years now, and I've only had a card 'stolen' once. Some Russian woman used it to buy an airline ticket from Madrid to Moscow. It wasn't hard to prove that I didn't buy it :)

I think it's easier for a bartender/waiter/gas station attendant to steal your card number than just about anyone else. After all, you don't think twice about the card being in someone else's hands for 10 minutes at a restaurant. One photocopy later, and they have all they need.

Credit-card security issues aside, this website doesn't need my paying subscription - the sponsors pay Rob to bombard me with their ads. Some ads I'm interested in, the rest I can ignore. The other 'features' that a paid subscription would provide me are of no interest - the 'meat' of FerrariChat is in the Tech Section and the search function. Sadly, much of the sniping/whining/attacking have driven off many of the REAL technical experts, Ferrari historians, and folks who have substantial Ferrari collections of historic vehicles, so there's even less to motivate me into financially supporting this forum. Most every technical question of legitimate merit has already been asked/answered over the years - people are routinely HAMMERED for re-visiting an issue that a previous topic once covered. Thus, there is seldom any 'new' information of great worth being posted. Too many younger posters act like assclowns, and in response, Moderators are acting like bullies. Many of my 'old friends' no longer post here, my 'new friends' have their own Ferrari community that's more technically and locally relevant to me.....this forum isn't what it used to be where I would gladly have paid TRIPLE to support it.
