This is my favorite emo video. Not totally work or kid safe. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdASTkfi91E I just found this girl. I think its an act, its kind of funny either way http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TUPQ-2j0O3M
nawww, you guys are all nuts, im the hippest one out there, emo kids are kids that want to be secluded from society, wear dark cloths, and have funny hair, the kids that do drugs and such. They are the ones prepsters would love to stay away from. The emo kids are the ones that have baggy clothing and have chains wrapped around them, but they also dont like adults and hate school and do bad at it. Emo kid's voices are scary low, and they are scary period. And they basiclly are emotionally ready for any thing, ready for drama, and ready to cry their eyes out. Some of then are maybe also just kids that like the goth clothing but arnt it, its like steven segal wearing all black to an all white event so that would be Emo, There are lots of different types of emos. but lets just say, its not cool to be one. (well at least where im from) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emo_(slang) Heres one of the definitions.
You dont like it much when you're stereotyped as the annoying rich kid that loves to tell tall tales do you Vik ? Not trying to pick on you... your judgemental post is only one of the many in this thread that turns my stomach... I would just think you of all people would know better than to stereotype others... Thats all J
I found a 21 minute vid on How to be Emo. I haven't watched it b/c its too damn long. http://youtube.com/watch?v=JGLv3IEL0VI
Umm...Have you ever even been to high school? "Secluded from society, baggy clothing, do drugs?" They almost all want to "stand out" and "be individual," and wear circulation-cutting clothes, while acting depressed when they really aren't that depressed. Ugh... I by no means support this "emo" thing, but I do know what they are.
ROFL! I had to post that in a bulletin on myspace so all of my non-emo friends could have a giggle. That's the exact definition of emo. They're dramatic and love to pout, sulk, and whine. When I was in High School we only had goths to worry about. It's frightening to know that now there are TWO classifications of freakdom.
w/e Ive been to high school and look at my profile smartie, They dont want to stand out, if anything they sit in corners and talk to there own kind. well thats how it is in my school, I dont know how it is or was or will be in yours. and frankly i dont care.
I, including the rest of Fchat, would take your little rants a lot more seriously if you would express them with proper grammar. Have a nice day, John
I was thinking the same thing! I don't know if he needs to pay more attention to social cliques or English assignments.
I think people are TOO in touch with their emotions these days. Back when I was in school (80's), we called EMOs pu$$ies.
Your daughter's a punk rocker. Be glad she's that, and not emo. And it's also a forum of men and women who are out of high school and college, which means they are at an age where they are expected to know at least some kind of proper, if not, decent grammar. Unless, you wish to be excluded from being someone expected to know proper grammar because you are in high school. But even then, I would expect that age to know better, too. Conclusion: Sound like your English teachers did their jobs, and you didn't enroll in Ebonics 101.
I'd just love to see some genuine Emos at a School Pep Rally. *rah* Or a genuine Emo HS Football game: Quarterback in the huddle - "All right, we're gonna, aw, what's the point? *weeps* everybody, just... whatever... on 3... break." Sideline: Emo Cheerleaders imitating some fringe Emo-root Cheerleaders from Nirvana "Nevermind" Video *yay* Line of Scrimmage: "Down, down, down... set... hut... 'sigh' hut... hut *lazy snap from Emo Center* *lazily throws 3rd interception of 1st quarter* aw, what's the point?" *yay* Bear in mind, the roots of Emo stylings run deeper than the grunge era, or Joy Division, et al. One tune that immediately springs to mind for these types is SXDX's "Lude Boy" - my favorite tune from the "Mommy's Little Helper" (Valium) side of SoCalDeathPunk. First heard that one on the Hell Comes To Your House compilation album in '81. I still have the disc safely tucked away. A former friend's mother burned one of her twin son's album cover after she saw it. Luckily, the disc itself was on my turntable, 200 yards away, and has remained in safekeeping since. Yup - here it is... Reject Yourself, by 100 Flowers made my cousin cry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hell_Comes_to_Your_House *yay*
