There is no connection between goth and emo whatsoever. Knowing the local goth community for years, they also make fun of socalled emo's.
The thing is emo kids want attention. They will cut themselves to get attention but never deep enough to hurt themselves too bad.

Wow, it's amazing how just about any post by VK has the ability to annoy the chit out of me.

From what I have seen the cutters are a minority when it comes to EMO kids and the worst you gotta worry about with drugs is a little bit of weed.
