Well Dennis is going, Alonso is going and Hamilton is going and probably Coughlan will go.

    Who's staying?

First, lets be honest, Lewis has won nearly every category of racing that he has entered in his career AND he is leading the championship against the two-time world champion in the same car--so lets not go ahead and say that its 98% the car and only 2% him.
Second, I think that in his short time he has refreshed his team more than Alonso on his own would have and he has also given a fresh face to the whole F1 circus (Probably why Sponsors like Vodafone and Boss and TAG and Johnnie Walker are plastering him all over their billboards and Alonso has to settle for two Santander promo-events...). If he weren't such a good driver then obviously Alonso would become their no. 1 stunner and that would have been the end of it.
At this point I wouldn't mind seeing a talent like Alonso in an F-Car and then have someone like Rosberg as his apprentice/no.2 driver (what Hamilton was supposed to be...) and a real third driver like mini-Senna or mini-Piquet to be developing themselves and the car in the great machination that is the Scuderia.

Or, we could just bring Schumi back to school all the restless native folk that are driving in F1 cars these days...

All of the failure to follow team orders aside, had Hamilton not been blocked in the pits, he most likely would have taken pole. He was significantly faster than everyone else the entire weekend. If he had his last lap on a lighter fuel load, he would have taken pole and probably still won the race.

Just where would both Alonso and Hamilton go and still be on separate, yet competitive teams? If Alonso manages to get the title this year, then he'll probably stay. Lewis will stay regardless. The fact is, despite all the drama, Mclaren is still the best team at the moment. Ferrari also seems to be committed to their drivers for next year. Are they supposed to take a shot in the dark and hope that Renault makes a comeback and BMW takes another step forward? I don't think so. Some of you guys are running a bit far with all this media "journalism".

Not according to The (London) Times.

Dennis the Menace has told Alonshole he can leave at the end of this season. Alonshole reportedly "desparate" to get back to Renault.

Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch of guys. ;)

This is a quote from an unnamed source.
"My understanding is that he's been told he can go because they're so fed up with him. Ron is just very pissed off with both of them," the unnamed source said.

You like a few others in here(not many though) have been cruising above the track like a vulture just waiting for that one mistake that Lewis will eventually make. Well now he made it and you jump all over him and attempt to squash him like a cockroach. Alonshole has made so many that even his own fan club are disowning him and yet you seem to think that’s OK. Lewis made one count it (1) mistake and he apologized for it. What do you want? Blood? With all the wrongs on and off the track that Alonshole has made....when did you last hear him apologize? No Lewis would not be leading the WDC in the Honda but I can tell you that he would have more points than any of their 2 current drivers. Also remember this....Lewis did not sign on with Honda did he. Honda or any other team did not nurture him because McCheater already was and if there was another young driver out there that showed anywhere near the talent that Lewis did then they would have been nurturing that guy with both teats. The other thing you have to realize is that Ron or any other team is not out there nurturing a new talent like Lewis out of the goodness of their heart. They are doing it for themselves $$$$$$$. He has not forgotten his helpers but also does not want to be shackled to Ron’s every wish. In the long run, who do you honestly think will help whom the most? Like I have said before... Ron is a complete control freak and wants to manipulate both his drivers just to show who is boss. Lewis and Alonshole see this and will break free one way or another. How interesting it would be if both Lewis and Alonshole collectively told Ron to ------- swivel. I think they are not far off. Ultimately Mercedes will till Ron to swivel right out of their organization

Lewis is in his first year. Don't care how fast he is, he should be doing what he is told, it's called respect ... and is something his generation have lost thanks to baby boomer idiot parents.

How many points he gets is irrelevant to the above point ... and again why Ron's biggest mistake was putting him in the McLaren. He should have done as other teams do, and paid a lower team to run him for the first year.

I didn't agree at first, but I do now ..... LH is the rude little boy that needs to learn respect, although FA is still an arsehole, but a fast determined one, and I think it is the determination that will win it for Fred

Lucifer has lost the plot when he lets little upstarts he has trained in his image (mini-RD **shudder** at the thought ) talk like that to him with "apparently" small reprisal

ALL F1 drivers are too full of themselves...too much money and all that. Too much publicity, etc.

My stock in Lewis went up when he told Dennis the Menace to ****ing swivel. Good to see he is not taking alot of crap from Alonshole or Dennis the Menace. I believe they pushed Lewis too far and he stood up for himself. Good for Lewis. He wants to be WDC. More power to him IMVHO. ;)

What does "go swivel" mean? I mean exactly, I understand Hamilton's message but English is not my first language.

I agree with 355 that RD is a control freak and if the story is true about him teaching both drivers a lesson (holding LH up, sending FA out on cold worn tires) it really backfired on him and he deserved it.
