    The more I think about it, the more I want an old, trashed 355 to rebuild diligently, make some improvements to the interior (get rid of sticky crap permanently) and have the engine rebuilt using "better" parts and turning it into a 9500 rpm, 450 hp monster.....

    Anyone got a high mileage, cosmetically bad 95 355 and want to swap it for a Mondial t? :D:D

    one of my projects in R&D for the 355..... a Bi-compressor :D that might help a bit.

    For some weird reason, I don't want forced induction. I'm sure it's the sound..... I would regularly go out of my way to go through the tunnels on the 210/134 interchange - windows down, tubi, 8000rpm - priceless!

    Still, a 355 with more than 2 teaspoonfuls of torque would also be nice....

    Road & Track's circa 1995 issue on Ferrari tested the 355 Spider versus the F50, and the 355 Spider (for 1996, one presumes) came out with the better slalom time than did the F50.

    This is precisely my current conflict :(....... I am torn between these two choices:

    1. Keep my F355 and make it the best car I can possibly make of it? Which will include redoing the whole interior to reduce weight by removing carpets, door panels and using alcantara and lightweight materials ala 360CS. Redesigning: some ducting/venting and the entire intake/exhaust tract to implement some ideas I have been pondering for several months. I would do this just to see how fast it can go and how much power it will make :D. All mods would be reversable.
    The problem is the monster 355 would then exclude the wussies and faint of heart from the buyer pool........ should I ever decide to sell it :(.

    2. Sell the 355 buy a Nero 360 coupe and do the same thing, by turning it into a non-comfort light-weight monster and keep it till I die... :D :D

    What say ye.......... 'brotherhood'...???..........:cool:

    Nice video, but to be fair the F50 totally decimated the 355, despite the 355 driver getting the better start off the line.

    Never mind I got you confused with 285Ferrari for a minute LOL....The only way I would consider selling my 355 would be for a 360CS and even then I would have to think long and hard about letting my 355 go.

    Well.......... I would certainly hope so.... with 12 cylinders and nearly double the horsepower..:rolleyes: ;). Though..... I posted it to show that a 355 does not need a 'sure win', to enter a race :)........... meaning the 355 is awesome in its own rite and needs to prove nothing :D :D :D!!!

    You are right!!! I was just thinking crazy because of the 360s alloy chassis and slightly better drivetrain. The 355 is hands down, far better looking than a 360. When I was looking, I was torn between the 512TR and my F355. IMO the 512TR had the ultimate drivetrain and the F355 had the ultimate looks :)........ Maybe that 512/355 hybrid post means I should......:rolleyes:................... find a 512TR motor to put in my 355........;) :D!!

    Yes this hybrid needs to be documented........ I wish we had a pictorial of that ultimate conversion :D!!!
