Yes I eventually got bored with tunnels. Route from Maranello to Monaco. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=IzCcuS1Lrbs
Very tempted indeed!! I wonder how quicky they could get one to San Antonio TX as a couple of my mates are bringing an empty aircraft back to the UK this weekend and have planty of room down the back ;-)
Just wondering why you chose the Xorst over the Tubi which most people claim is the best ?!?!?! Price for the Tubi, Xorst and Cappy are all prety much the same from what I can tell (circa £1500) so just need to decide which one is for me I suppose !
X-ost cost me under a grand, when side by side with the others i think it has the bass notes but also the high end scream that combines the best of the others. it is quieter under 4k rpm under 100Db rises to 105 at 5k and then on up to 120Db!
nice PAP!! that is real hp for fair money. i am glad you got hooked up w/ daniel @ ricambi...great guy huh!! i'm glad you resisted going the tubi route....x-ost is easily as nice a part and all the money you save can fund some x-tra strip club visits or bar tab...or both! best to you PAP pcb
From the clips I've heard along with the descriptions from owners the X-Ost does indeed seem to be the best of both worlds, (low end sound of Tubi with high end of Cappy). Getting one for under a grand is impressive, dont suppose you know if there are any more to be had at that price ? Cheapest I've seen is about £1200 so far...
Awesome vid......again!! Your car rules Andrew..........AND the steering wheel is on the right side too. Mainly because ALOT of Fchatters on here got them 1st and they were VERY VERY happy with it. I talked to Daniel at Ricambi and he shipped one out to me before I could say XOST, FANTASIC price. I am very happy with the sound and performance from it mate. Get one, you will not be disappointed. Thanks mate. Cheers buddy. Daniel at Ricambi KICKS ASS!!!! I was never a big fan of Tubi.......ever. Am very pleased with my current XOST setup. Will get high flow cats one day, not too fussed when.
PAP, Sorry to rain on the parade but you really can't compare with and without that way you did it. There are too many other variables and 9hp is only 3% well within the range of equipment variation on a day to day bassis. I'm not a dyno guy so someone check out what I am saying to confirm I am correct. To do a proper comparison you need to have the same conditions on the same machine on like the same day to minimize varitions in equipment. This is especially so when the numbers are small 18hp is like 6%. There are correction factors the dyno operator can use but they are easily 3% +/-. However, we all sure wnat to think these mods make power and they sure look fast anyway. I think we all should be rating our mods in $/HP figures to give a good way to help decide relative value. What do you guys think?
Read it again FBB. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showpost.php?p=136321185&postcount=1 "December 2006- Stock-236HP @ the wheels and 298.1HP @ the flywheel. XOST-254.8HP @ the wheels and 318.9HP @ the flywheel. Ambient air temp today was 36C and engine intake air temp was 46C. Car in 4th gear. A very hot day" This dyno before and after was done ON THE SAME DAY, the 20th of December 2006. Stock exhaust had 236HP @ the wheels on dyno. XOST exhaust had 254.8HP @ the wheels on the dyno, around 1 hour later (with XOST fitted, of course). You CANNOT get a better comparison that!!! Same conditions, same fuel, same dyno operator, same ambient air temp ect.....
