Simply stunning, good luck with the sale!!
Jerry's car is as stated. The ad clearly lists any concerns a potential buyer might have. Walking under the car is like entering a time capsule to 1998, however, the car has been driven...as the mileage shows. I think the price is fair and the description honest. BUT- I have the benefit of knowing Jerry and his car personally. FWIW-my car has 4000 miles and his is cleaner. BUY IT. Kurt E
Despite the what the keyboard commandos say, who seem to think I was bashing the owner in some way I asked legitatite questions any buyer should ask about an Ebay listed car. What was nice is that they were answered in full. Unfortunately the owner and his pals took at as some personal attack, It clearly wasn't.
Jerry, you have an absolutely beautiful and stunning car, but I just do not feel as if I am a proper candidate for something this well maintained. I do not have the desire to care for a car (any car) in the same manner, and really feel it's better suited to someone who will put in the time to keep your Viper in the state of maintenance it deserves. I wasn't actively searching for Vipers (actually for Z06s) but came across this and it piqued my interest, but I really need more of a driving car. I've been down this road before...i.e., never driving something in the rain, scared to death of bird droppings, rock chips, etc., and it's a stressful type of ownership that I don't want to experience again for a while. You should be commended on the condition you kept that thing in, but that car needs the right buyer who has the time and energy to maintain it similarly. Regards, RMX
Nice car Jerry!! I don't really like Vipers but this one is clean One question, did you ever have a brake line blow? It looks like some kinda oil or brake fluid was spilled onto the control arm in one of the pictures. http://i3.ebayimg.com/04/i/07/c4/d8/43_10.JPG
You think parts of the Viper are "flimsy"? Are you serious? The car is one of the most solidly build sports cars you can buy. The thing is solid as a rock. Taking off the front bumper is not a big deal, neither is removing the sidesills. Its reasonable to think there may be a reason why this was done, but when the rest of the car is a perfect "10", why would anyone even think it was due to some sort of cover up of a problem? And since the buyer would probably never know it was done, why would the guy mention it if it was a sign of a problem? Simple - he wouldn't. The points raised were not good questions, they were assumptions (wrong ones) about a very nice car. He insinuated that something untowards was going on, but the seller and the guy who listed it have impeccable reputations. The car does too. If someone doesn't know the story, they shouldn't just make one up that they personally think may be the correct one. Not when dealing with $50k cars.
Never had a brake line blow. The brake fluid is always fresh. I don't even want to think about a broken brake line. I carry brake fluid like a grenade with the pin pulled....very very careful. That stuff will destroy body paint. I see what you are talking about....looks kind of glossy on the control arm. Jerry
Ha ha ....I was thinking the same thing! Maybe he meant some of the interior pieces. The Viper is heavy duty. They can handle the road course and the drag strip, most cars cant without breakage.
haha! Cool Jerry, I was just curious. It's probably just a little dirt I wish you the best with the sale. Whoever buys it will be a lucky individual.
