    The motor is not quite ready, so some more trim pieces and then did into the tub with all the door pieces. That should keep me busy for awhile.

    No specific purpose other than curiosity. Because your car is apart, an opportunity is available to weigh the drivetrain if you have an interest in doing that, and I didn't know whether you had considered it.

    I have a curiosity about the weight of certain things when it comes to cars: the wheels, the drivetrain, the front/rear weight distribution, etc.

    Nice job on the back window, by the way.

    Are you going to run the motor on a bench and dyno before instal to make sure nothing is amiss before instilation... I would do that if it is available, mush easier to fix out than in, not that anything you did by the pictures that anything is wrong, I just allways get that feeling in my stomach EVERY time I bring it up to pressure the first time... And I am only talking rebuild of diesel engines, not something that is so expensive...

    You'd have had to go plexi for sure, or had one made at somewhere like Pilkington for $$$$$$$$

    I am nervous about putting my rear glass back in...if I break it, 308 owners can put the lexan glass in which is nice I guess and its cheap as well but there is no defroster (lines) so it is unoriginal and leaves a dead switch in the console.... I need to have my guy be real careful putting my glass back in... The fact that the engine is out of your car Jon must have made it easier. What type of glue do you use when installing the rear window? Any glue that any car window installer would use or special glue??

    Jon - The rear window goes in last on the coupes. Headliner must be installed prior to glass going in. I found installation of the rear window rather easy and unexciting. Yes, it flexes a little, but with two people and a slow, careful approach, it was a breeze.

    My engine stand is available if you wish to borrow it. Starting the engine out of the car is a must. First, one can check for catastrophic leaks. Second, carbs and timing can be set prior to installation, which saves a great deal of effort later. Third, and most important, after 10 cycles of hot and cold on the heads, one can retorque the heads and re-adjust the valve shims prior to installation. This task is extremely difficult in the car, and extremely easy on a stand. I built the stand out of square-section tubing, emulating the factory stands. It is on casters, and quite a useful tool for working on these engines.

    Starting the engine out of the car is straightforward. One can do it on the floor on a piece of cardboard or carpet. The engine is rock steady when running. A stand provides for a more comfortable height to work on. A standard radiator and some tubing, along with a small plastic can of benzene and a battery, and you are ready to go.

    Let me know when you are ready to fire it up...I can give a hand. By the way, the Dynamat looks great and will make driving much more enjoyable, while not impacting the thrill of those standing on the sidewalk.

    Jon, I notice that Dynamat do a bulk pack which has 36sq ft in it. Is this enough for the car?

    The fact that it was on a rotisserie made it somewhat easier. I didn't see him use any glue on the rear window. He put the rubber around the window, then the chrome strip, slipped the rope in the groove around the whole thing, pushed into place, started the rubber and pulled the cord. The front windshield next week.

    Even so, I don't think my heart will be beating nearly has hard as yours with a 12 cyclinder Miura at sustained redline!!

    I bought a bulk pack. I did the floor and rear firewall and still have some left over. I know Jim also did his doors which I will be contemplating. We need to see photos on your progress. I think the last photos was it leaving on a trailer for paint.

    Thanks Jim, I am getting pretty close to being able to put the engine on a stand. Probably not until October though as I'm leaving mid Sept. on a 1,000 mile bike ride with my wife.

    After the Spider is done I am going to do the 73 Flares and chairs coupe. It was originally yellow and currently black. I haven't decided on a color only that it won't be yellow or black. I like tan interiors so that further limits the choices. I also like lighter colors on Dino's as only a personal preference because they look great in just about any color. I think I'll be able to do a better job on #2 from everything I'm learning on this one. This time I waited until the car was almost completely stripped before putting it on the rotisserie. Next time the engine and suspension are coming out and then right to the rotisserie. I was sort of leaning towards silver, but black interiors look better in silver cars versus tan. I'm open for suggestions. Red looks really good but there are too many red ones. It seems the most prominent Dino colors are red and yellow. I want to do an original color but something you don't see as much.

    A kelly green coupe with tan interior would be unusual and absolutely stunning. I that color in a a chairs & flairs GTS and it was a knockout!! Whatever you decide it will be great...whats the update on the "Dino" party...your readers want to know!!

    There was a rare orange color on some of the Dinos, I don't know the name of the color but it might look sharp with a tan interior.
