Err anybody wants to buy an '05 Murcie I was just @ Times but didn't see this? UK or US edition? I was looking @ a MY edition. That Murcie is their press car & was working well even @ 120K km few months ago. That is quite a stirling result.
would you ever buy, or have your buying decision influenced, on the basis of their group tests? i know i have been moved a bit in the past by some wonderfully written reviews. sadly, none by our local car journalists although i count a couple of them as my friends. i think the fabulous photos that accompany some of these articles are to blame...

U bring up a very good point. I don't think it has ever influenced my buying decision. Its probably more bragging rights if you purchased a ECOTY winning car or a car that has won a one on one challenge. I use these reviews like how I utilize my golf caddie. My caddies just confirms my thoughts on a particular play i.e. 1 grip left to right down slope...fast. Likewise when I bought the F430 I knew it was a good car and the mags confirmed it. There are times when I disagreed for various reasons i.e. design/looks.. like the 360. The car had good reviews but I never bought it coz it didn't suit my tastes. I don't really like local reviewers other than Andre whom I always seek advice concerning tires. Nothing against them just personal bias towards British magazines. I have the same bias attitude towards American car reviews too. I think the Brits cover the cars best.
