Qualifying is over for the ALMS race at Mosport - Audi #1 is on pole - yipee!! In GT1 - Ron Fellows (Corvette #33) split Corvette #3 and #4. GT2 is the best of news . . .

Risi # 62 took GT2 pole followed by Risi #61 then in third is the PWL 430 following those three are the Porsches with a Panoz sitting 7th in GT2. Promises to be a great race - this is the fastest track of all in the series.

Race is live on Speed tomorrow afternoon.

Audi/Porsche/Audi/Porsche/Acura/Acura. I'm not going to miss the green for that grid. Kind of hoping the Spyders beat the R10s just to keep Roger's interest up in taking them to LeMans.

As per the F1 commentators, SPEED on board pass is free today for ALMS. Check it out, several on board and track cameras available for you to move between at your will. Pretty cool. (may have pit radio too)

John already signed me up for that and kudos to Speed for doing this. Also www.imsaracing.net will have the live timing and a link to Hindy for the broadcast. All the bases are covered for that race - for the Lizard fans, they also have live reports on their website thanks to Jennifer for her great work.

Thank you Speed for continuing the ARCA race into the ALMS time - who gives a rip about secord rate drivers. There's much action right now in ALMS with the wreck and full course caution. Thank goodness for Hindy and his commentary. Your are the BEST - www.imsaracing.net

Great Risi strategy and way to go Mika. Back to green shortly . . .

Feel like I just attended Wimbledon, ALMS on Speed and the IRL stream on the laptop. Fantastic racing in both events. I do feel a little bad for Audi, but they've been all conquering for such a long time that it's nice to see the continued challenge from the Spyders, especially when they're completely outgunned down the straights. Roger, time for LeMans. Great results for Risi too, they look set for the championship. Cherry on top would have been for Fellows winning GT1, but no need to get greedy...

Allan is absolutely the best endurance racing driver (not that I'm prejudice) but his ability to handle the R10 in the last 6 minutes with only 4th gear was awesome and really shows the torque of the diesel. Penske got lucky on this one yesterday - it will be great next year as I don't think the Spyders will be as dominant with ACO rules. Risi did another fantastic job - Mika was certainly at the right place at the right time with the safety car yesterday.

The ALMS race won the best racing of the weekend hands down. Besides I love the course at Mosport - fastest one they run in the series.

Headed to Detroit early Saturday morning for the ALMS race only, then to Road Atlanta and Laguna Seca. Hard to believe the season is winding down.

Any confirmation as to whether Vegas will be on the line-up for next spring? That would be an easy sell for the missus. :D

BEST race of the entire weekend - others boring.

Allan did an absolutely fantastic with the R10 in the last 6 minutes when he only had 4th gear and finished 2nd overall.

The sked for '08 will be announced at Petit - you'll have to make plans. The easiest one involving no vacation, time off work is Salt Lake City. Go out on a very early Saturday am flight from DFW and return early Sunday am. Race begins at 5 pm on Saturday; granted you'd miss qualifying but you can catch that on live timing on Friday. All the races we've attended have been terrific. We did the Audi Experience at Road America and will be doing it again at Petit and Laguna. The real road circuits are best by far. ALMS makes for an inexpensive, fun weekend with the best racing around.
