Andrew, help me remeber. You and I have seen this car before. Remember the car that was for sale on some hotrod boat or car site? That is this car. The guy selling it chimed in here once. I talked to him after the sale, he said the new owner didn't know how to drive the car and wasn't happy. Tried to get his money back.
The plastic cover in the front trunk area , has indentations, mine is flat, is this a certain series trademark?
No service notes in the decription, and that engine bay is a mess. Anyone know anything else about this car. I kinda dig it.
Sold new at Modern Classic (NV) For sale via Great Southern Classic Cars (GA) 5/07 foe sale (NY) $19k 46k miles new clutch & stainless exhaust PPI it for sure. Strange that it was sold in May and is being resold 3 months later. Did I mention getting a PPI? Has to be more here than meets the eye. Of course you could always get a PPI. You getting my drift?
Some one beat me to this one. I e-mailed the owner and haven't heard back from him yet?? Hey its the weekend and... The engine bay is a mess and ...where is the rust? The price however...even if it is a decent daily driver-could have potential but factor in a 5K service, paint and body work- and then comes all the goodies to clean up the engine bay to make it respectable. This kinda car in this shape would nickle and dime me to death.
Well its like this, I needed cash, i had the car for sale on and off for a year, so are the rest of my toys, any way, i few calls here and there, one or two people come to look in a years span, so i keep lowering the price, anyway i sell the car to this guy , who has it on Ebay now, it looks like he reupholstered the front seats, did some paint work, cause it needed some, and added some stickers. Now of course the day after the car was sold, I recieved about 10 calls on it,go figure. When i had this car, I used to think ,if i cannot sell this car, that would be really cool, I would be stuck with a ferrari. ,And this car, Oh yeah , he changed the monster exhaust I had built to a more stock system, well this car, was quick, I had lots of cars,Lotus Turbo,Racing Rotary cars, big block this ,Chevy ,Ford, Alfa, Mopar , Six Pack, and a Porsche with a modified Rotary Mazda Engine with Full 935 body work, it would pull 9,000 rpm in 5 th with the Porshe gearbox, and lots of other fast toys. So i think this car , the white GT4, if driven correct, defines V8 Ferrari 4 carb sound and body motion when going through the gears,. Test drove this guy for 5 minutes and he wanted to go back to my house,I beleave he was holding on to the cieling.Just tune your Ferrari and drive it to make Enzo proud!
How would you know if you were going to get a good one? I assume a Ferrari dealer would be the best but would most tech's have any idea what to look for other than just typical car issues, IE do most tech's have knowledge in 308 series cars? Thanks, Alex
What's with the wheels? They look like series I (by the number the car is a series II), but they wear a ferrari badge instead of a dino badge. Was this a matter of upgrading?
Those are series 1 wheels. Someone put horses on the centercaps because the original Dino emblems are NLA.
thats pretty cool you picked that up, He must have pryed off the dino center caps and replaced them with little horses, This is typical of someone who knows nothing but to turn and try to make a profit by adding stickers and horses to try to make it look like.... I do not really know??? But it had the Dino caps, Oh well!
Dealers don't mess with 308s, esp. something like a PPI that's all downside if they miss something....
Shame, shame, shame... Now the vulture in me comes out....I'll give him $50 a piece for the old emblems.
