i am a first time f-car (been looking at posts) owner, befor purchasing asked dealer if i could mount 5 lug wheels as i was going to upgrade, assured me i could. however the car has single nut wheels is there a kit or simple conversion? after 5 months of ownership i find the experience of owning a ferrari similar to owning a boat or an airplane untill i open the garage door and then
    everything else seems trivial.

Ah, the infamous used-Ferrari dealer treatment where the answer to your every request is "yes" until after he has your cash.

Did he tell you to only check your oil when the engine was hot, too?

    Welcome to F-Chat,

There are some wheel options for the center lock TR's and with proper maintenance the center locks are not a problem. As already stated the conversion to 5 bolt is no fast/cheap bit of work but once you learn how to take care of the existing wheel mounting system it is reliable. You do have fewer wheel choices with the center locks but there are still some very nice looking wheels available, you can find pictures of such in several threads or e-mail me and I can send photos of what we offer as well as explain how we maintain the center locks on our clients TR's.

Do the F40 or 288 wheels fit the TR? :) One lug is such a great feature...

No, The F-40 and 288 are single NUT wheels, the TR is a single BOLT.

There is probably someone making 18 wheels for your car. The splined hub unbolts from the stock wheel and bolts into the aftermarket wheel. Be sure and get a Hill Eingineering socket from Ricambi....it is a thing of beauty. My car had TRX size wheels and since the car is capable of such high speeds, it makes sense to use modern rubber. We could start a new trend.....single bolt/nut is cool. Just look at the Enzo and all the race cars (Nascar doesn't count). First advice: don't believe everything the service department tells you. For example, the driver side dist. cap was filling with oil, two dealers said the engine had to come out, the third said 20 minutes and a pickel fork fixed the problem. Good luck.

You need to change the hubs to take the five stud standard wheel. The centre lock nuts can be sold to me as I am looking for a set to replate1

This is incorrect. The 288 has wheel bolts exact same as the Tr's.
