An uncommon view, if I may say so, and one that is at odds with my perspective on the man who arranged for me to have a Screen Actors Guild card amongst his other noteworthy accomplishments.
Oh. I got. Not with the fact that its americon iron, but after the fact you have three 308 you still have a need (and definatly not the neccesity) to drive a daily beater?
Hardly, Sinatra at one time was the most powerful entertainer in both Hollywood & Vegas. His legend far surpasses that of any other entertainer(s) of the last 100 years. Even the likes of Valentino, Carusso, The Beatles etc don't compare to Sinatra. Joe
Actually Andreas, I think of it as dating Italian movie stars while married to the High School sweetheart cheerleader! LOL! Actually it's a limited edition 25th Anniversary model and of the 2000 made only 128 had the 6 speed Muncie mated to the LT1 engine...that makes it rarer than a fibreglass car, statistically....I bought it to enjoy though, as all my cars....it's showing 149,000 miles! All highway though...... The daily beater for Houston Texas traffic among the 12 million illegal aliens is a 2006 Toyota truck, 4 cyl, 5 speed...if I wad it up into a metal ball on the way home, I'll just crawl from the wreckage and get an identical one....... You could not do that with a vintage Ferrari, obviously!
That is only for you to admit!! (Correction....I think it is Patek Philippe, as noted above (thanks!) not Felip) Maybe it's time to look into one of these watches, huh? No? I drive an old Sunbird, and wear NO watches, LOL!
A lot of people get around OK. I get around OK. Even Oklahoma is, well, .....OK. But I still want a Ferrari......
Hey, that's not fair, or nice (waving index finger). Especially to Tex , one of our favorite buddies, here! (man, can't get a smiley face here......anyone know how to do this?)

I spent almost an hour reading some search sites for this quote. It seems to mostly come up only on various Lamborghini sites (duh?) - and I cannot find it authenticated in even the slightest degree. BTW, you cannot believe the diversity of useless information you can find by doing a search on vaguely unrelated words like I did: "Sinatra Ferrari Quotation" - it resulted in seven pages to sort through, many of which had nothing to do with anything. For example, I got a hit on Rolex Watches, (which could not individually find even one of the keywords) - a hit on Sgr. Ferrari (a character in The Maltese Falcon played by fat old Sydney Greenstreet), a rant by Donald Rumsfeld on global terror, and a reference to the Eriksson Enzo wreck! The following is from a general quotation anthology - again, no proof... http://www.uq.net.au/~zzpstark/quotes.html For the posting police, here is one that popped up on posting etiquiette and mentions Nancy Sinatra... http://nancyfriedman.typepad.com/away_with_words/words/index.html I am continuing to search on because I am learning so much, but my Mythbusters instinct is calling this one questionable.
Not yet, still slogging from my first one...but will try. I have become obsessed. OK - while we are waiting, here is a real quote from Frank Sinatra: "May you live to be 100, and may my voice in a live concert be the last one you ever hear." I took my mom & dad to his last live concert here in Dallas back in the early 1990s, and that was how he closed out the show.
Snopes put up a few of the same and a few new ones: INCUDING - a 1275+ page CDRom you can buy of the complete FBI Files on Francis Sinatra!!! So - Napolis is quite right in his other thread: Big Brother really is Watching You.
FBI was pursuing his well known ties to organized crime..........not his choice in transportation....
And thereby putting a certain cross-dressing officially off the hook, so to speak. But I digress - my search is now reaching the bottom of the barrel. Some of the gems include these: a) a spanish language quotation of it (lambo friendly blog), again with no credit, if I translated it correctly. b) a blogger named redlinebubba (or something like that) on a bass tournament site who uses this (again uncredited) as his avatar quotation. c) an unbelievably unprintable (& unrelated) quotation involving a private showing of Deep Throat, Sinatra, Sammy Davis junior, and which is validated by none other than Linda Lovelace in an autobiography. But again, I digress. I would welcome a proof, but I think this one is about as credible as the S.E. Oklahoma Sasquatch.
