Don't be so sure on that. Killzone 2, Haze, and GT5 are dazzling the crowds. 2008 is the PS3's year, and I guarantee you there will be a giant line-up of exclusives. Ferrari Challenge, anyone? For me, the X360 is great for a lot of games, such as PGR4, GOW and it's upcoming titles, TDU (IMO), Halo 3, and even Forza 2.
The only reason I own a PS3 is because of the Formula 1 game. That's it. If it weren't for that game, I would never have come close to even considering one. The online play is very disappointed, and you can't even use a microphone for the F1 game. On the other hand, I have had an Xbox 360 since its launch date, no problems so far, and I have always loved it. It has great games and Xbox Live is fantastic. There is really no comparison. -John

Correct. I don't believe Unreal Tournament has been announced for the XBOX and the F1 game is a Sony/PS3 exclusive. Having said that, MOST developers are going to develop for the largest market and that is absolutely NOT the PS3, but rather the XBOX. I heard Sony was not too happy at all when Rockstar decided to develop for XBOX as well as PS3.

Damn it, looks like I'm going to have to get me a high quality plasma TV from Pioneer or Panasonic soon... My old CRT doesn't cut it anymore without HDMI... So much I'm missing without the superclear HD-picture. To thread starter: I think you should let the games decide your choice regarding the consoles. What games you prefer and which console they belong to.
Yeah, it was even worse when MS bought the rights to have exlcusive DLC. However, Rockstar is developing another game exclusively for Sony in return, and it's not L.A. Noire. True, many assume Nintendo is in trouble. Out of the 3 guys at E3 this year, Sony wowed the crowds, Microsoft stunned them with Live, and Nintendo...well, showed off a few games. Nintendo is criticized for showing off all its features in 2006, and nothing new in 2007. I believe 1st QTR 2008. There should be a thread on it in the Collectibles forum. Plasma Gas is slow. Leaves artifacts. Its also very loud and puts off a lot of heat. I have installed both pioneer and panasonic plasmas, including the very high dollar ones. I have a sony kdsr70xbr2. I would suggest you atleast check it out. I think it outperforms the others and runs about 5000. Also, most plasmas cannot do 1080p(1920x ....) . Usually only 1360 X .... I know the panasonics are limited to that. The sony also has a vga input that can accept a computer signal at 60hz. Very cool.
I always thought the XBOX still had the larger installed base http://www.nexgenwars.com/ but I am AMAZED at how much the Wii caught up - whether its ahead or not, it is NECK AND NECK with the XBOX. That is amazing considering the head start the XBOX had. I have a Wii myself, it pales in any comparison of specs to the XBOX or the PS3. The games are barely graphically equal to the OLD XBOX or the PS2. But its a TON OF FUN and thats what counts.
