I have 1 Bridgestone F1 tire that still has the orginal sticker with a FIA number on it. This tire was given to me by a friend that works for Bridgestone. Not sure if people collect these but as I understand it they are very difficult to get. Anyone know where I could find out if people would be interested in this for a F1 collection.

F1 tires can fetch a few thousand dollars if I'm not mistaken. Morry at Collectorstudio.com might be able to help you get a better idea for the value of it as well since he deals in original F1 parts.

you can get tires with bbs rims from a ferrari for under 1k. i doubt a tire is worth more than about $200.

I told him about $200 for a tire, tire and wheel combos are much more valuable.

Guess I remembered wrong, I thought I saw someone with a BBS rim and wheel for around 3k.

Just as a guide, I picked up the following on eBay:

(5 years ago): front grooved bridgestone tire mounted on a silver BBS rim from an Arrows F1 car, (came to a total of around $800.00, which included shipping from the UK to New York)

(1.5 years ago): front Goodyear Eagle rain tire mounted on a gold BBS rim (from a Ferrari F310B), circa '96 or '97 (came to a total of $622.00, including shipping from the UK to New York)

I think if you can find someone that already has a BBS rim (and there have been plenty of those sold over the last few years), and is desperate to complete the package...you might be able to get some good money for your tire...put it this way, if I had a BBS rim that I picked up fairly cheap, I would be willing to pay top dollar to get a matching tire, probably more than $200.00.

Does anyone have a wheels/tire combo for sale? I've been looking for one ever since picking up the BBS display at Road Atlanta. I was blown away by how light it was!

I went to collectorstudio.com and briefly looked but didn't see one. Let me know if you have one.

Many years ago I bought a used F1 slick (front tyre). It was sold as a glass table with a base and a glass plate. I tossed the base and plate and display the tire for what it really is. Was relatively cheap (around $ 200 IIRC). Need to get a rim for it someday.

It really depends on the tire and wheel combo, I have seen one of the tires off a 310 get just over 2k. (without wheel)
