I hope everyone is coming to LRP with NYMC in a few weeks Doing an autox with my car should be interesting! -N
Hey guys - had lots of fun yesterday, albeit for an all-too-abbreviated day. You guys should see what's left of my front rotors - more of them in flakes on the rims than actually on the discs themselves. Oh well, I was planning a BBK upgrade this winter anyway, looks like we'll just push up the schedule a bit. It was great meeting all of you. Definitely a great crew and some really sweet whips. Matt & Larry, yet again another great job. What a HUGE difference a small group like this makes. Tons of track time, lots of space, very smooth. The East course was actually lots of fun, very technical, allowing me to focus more on technique than flat out speed. You all better watch out next time, when my Z stops as well as it goes you are all in big trouble
I'm glad everyone had a good time, my first real, full track day was definitely memorable. Beating the crap out of my mini, watching Ford GT's, 997 TT's and 360''s Spin out, and learning the art of blue painters tape is an experience I'd like to repeat real soon. My brakes are squeaking like crazy today haha. Raymund- thanks for letting me turn a few laps in the Gallardo. It reminded me why they cost $200k, and ceramics definitely kick major ass. We got some great video footage as well, I'll post it up when it's ready. I've got a couple spots open for auto-x at Lime Rock next weekend if anyone wants to go. NYMC members go free, non-members $150.
Hey Guys - The track day was definitely a blast and it was an absolute riot to see these cars used as they were intended. To see Lambo's, Lotus's, Bimmers, Porsche's and Ferrari's.... and the oddball Dodge go balls out on a racetrack was a sight to behold. Matt and Larry - thanks again for a great day as it went off without a hitch. I have no tires left and my brakes were mush by days end but I've learned that if set up properly even a 40 year sled can be made into a pretty good track machine. Cheers guys - here are few pics. That Yellow Vette and the red Ford GT looks familiar...I have pics of a Yellow Z06 and Ford GT just like that one on 287 close to White Plains.
is there anything you haven't done with that car yet? Should I keep an eye out for "Angry drifting" down at NOPI?
Dude, come to Lime Rock on the 15th. I'm going to run the Charger in the AutoCross and on the Skidpad... and as for drifting... Dude, this big bastard slides like a mutha' f*cka'...
Hey Matt...... Looks like a great event ran by NYMC as usual. Can you pm me some details, IE: who provided instructors if any, rules, was this ran as a HPDE??? Depending on the answers, best kept to PMs. Thanks Barry
no problem. the event was run through PDA, and they provided instructors to us as part of the total cost of the event. NYMC ran 2 groups, beginner and intermediate, and there was a third "random" group from another club to help offset costs. we got five, 25 minute sessions throughout the day, which was more than enough driving for everyone, especially considering there were only about 8 cars on the track at a time.
Thanks Matt. Sounds like a great time. Wish I ran a session where there were only 8 cars on at a time. That would be fantastic!!!!!!
i'll be in Vegas for the silver state classic. But say hi to JR while your up there, young guy with a yellow and black c5...fast as hell around LRP

Tuto K to all. we had a real exciting day at poconos with some of the best exotics in the world. I think for next time we should have more participants because it was a great day and it brings everyone with the love of cars together no matter what your driving hahahahahahahahah LAMBORGHINI!!
how about the traffic jam cosmo caused on the way home because he was getting some girls phone number on the highway? now that's classic. traffic for at least a mile, and right up front, cosmo in a gallardo going 10 mph on I-80
Hey Matt - i saw the photographer in the infield during the first couple sessions. Was that PDA's guy? Do you know when those will be posted?
I left Joe @ PDA a message about that guy and haven't heard back yet. I have no idea who he was, but as soon as I hear where I can get those pictures I'll let everyone know.
Hey Guy's here are the pic's from the event. It was taken by one of my photographer in the infield, enjoy. Thanks http://www.photoreflect.com/scripts/prsm.dll?eventthumbs?event=05XC014I the password is = nymc Mg
