Very impressive, a true tifosi ! I tend to Tivo "delay" the races by twenty minutes, so I can fast forward through the commercials. That keeps me off of fchat during the races :)

Its called capitalism and Bernie is a master...and people forget that without Bernie and Max creating the FOCA and taking over the FISA in pre-FIA days, F1 teams would choose to race in some races and not in others and the sport had little organization or cohesion. Without their brilliance, there would likely be no F1 today...

    True.

I guess one has to take the bad with the good. Bernie & Co. elevated the sport to the global form it has now. The commercialization is clearly a negative aspect, so is the access of the fans to the cars and drivers. On the plus side is, that now we all get to follow the races worldwide on TV and the technical level is higher than it has ever been. Instead of the garagistes duking it out with standard Cossies (how about that for a "spec" series?) we now have the world's car manufacturers showing off their engineering marvels. We have way more engine varity than ever.

There is clearly some politics involved. After all TV rights is what fuels the monetary engine behind F1. So I agree that Bernie influences the game by moving his pawns around. But in the end the battle has to be fought on the track and that's every car and every driver for themselves. Bernie can stack the deck, but not predict the winner at the end of the season.

Brazilian Felipe Massa says Ferrari are a lot stronger than it looked during testing at the Monza circuit last week.

The four-day test ahead of this weekend's Italian Grand Prix was dominated by rivals McLaren, with their drivers topping the times in all sessions.

However, Massa reckons Ferrari are in much better shape than it seemed following their dominant one-two at the Turkish Grand Prix.

"We are a lot stronger than it looks, that's for sure. We can fight with McLaren, we'll see if we'll be able to be quicker than them," the Brazilian told Autosprint.

"I think it'll be a two-way fight, as it's been so far. Maybe in the race some others managed to get in the fight, but not in qualifying.

"We've almost always had the same amount of fuel and the difference in laptimes were insignificant.

"In testing I've often lacked the conditions to run at my best, but we set out best laptimes at the beginning of the runs, with a lot of fuel, while they set theirs at the end of the runs."

Massa confirmed Ferrari will keep on pushing with the development of their F2007 car for the last three races of the year, and the Italian squad will introduce several new components in order to try and beat McLaren.

    "Yes, that's correct," Massa added.

Massa is 15 points behind championship leader Lewis Hamilton with five races to go.
