    The Mrs and I went out to this little french place last night....one of the waiters is a really good photographer and on a previous occasion had asked to take some pics of the CGT which he kindly forwarded to me. As we ate last night, he was seen outside snapping some pics of the CS which he also kindly took the time to forward. It was almost dark, and he said he used 30 sec shutter speed...I think the pics turned out quite wonderful !

    Fantastic. Perfect lighting conditions; either at sunset or sunrise is the best time, and you got it just right. Beautiful!

    I am not a photography expert, but I think it's a very slow shutter speed.

    Yes.


    For most people, and thing under 1/200 second has to be on a tri pod.

    I personally have pulled off a .3 second shutter time with no tripod before though.

    Its tough.

    exactly, he was using a tripod, and mentioned a 30 sec shutter opening....seems like a long time to me !

    The pics are very nice but what strikes me the most is the very nice/casual restaurant with outdoor seating and the ability to park your car right in front of the tables. As many restaurants and places to go as there are here in Southern California I can't think of many with simple sidewalk parking like that. There are no cars in front or behind you. That never happens here. Most restaurants have valet parking or all the spaces in front of the restaurant are occupied. It would be nice to cruise up to a restaurant and grab lunch or dinner with your car five feet away! :)

    tip the guy a little extra. He is very talented photographer. Most people strive a lifetime to get similar results.

    Excellent composition, long shutter speed and small stop to get everything sharper.. Very nice work.

    I guess thats one of the advantages of a smaller city to live in. People are very nice, and there were cars behind us, but they parked about 4-5 feet away. I moved to Lexington from Toronto, and my wife is from Montreal. Whatever the city may lack in big ticket items (sports, opera, "the scene" etc), it more than makes up for with tremendous hospitality, community, and a safe family oriented atmosphere. Its a great place to raise a child.

    The cool thing I liked about the pic, is the detail you can see in the upstairs windows of the building...the US Flag also gives it a nice touch
