When I'm on the main forums listing screen - and I mouse over a thread title on the right - there is a "tool tip" popup that says "Go to first unread post in xxxxxxx".

If I click on that, I usually go deep into the thread - even on threads I've never read before and where the first unread post would actually be post #1 - instead of going to the acutal "first unread post".

Does this work for anyone else?

Maybe no one is answering because the feature didn't work for them either... and they weren't able to jump to the first unread post in this thread... :)

To answer your question... yes you're right, it seems to jump all over the place when I click on it.

It probably takes you to the first post since your last log-in. Meaning if someone had posted #46 on a thread last time you were here, and now the thread has 58 posts, it would take you to post #47.

I guess it "assumes" you read every thread on the forum. Ferrarichat is kinda conceided like that ;)

Yeah I think that's the way it works. With 48k members (sure, not all active) it would take quite a lot to keep track of each and every user's reading...
