Jason, I was worried that with adding another mid-engined car I was doing too much of the same thing, but nothing could be further from the truth. Where the 360/430 are all electronically enhanced to the highest level, the Spyker is back to basics. You are really driving that car. Same 400HP as a 360, but a whopping 550LB lighter. It has huge Torque, at low revs, and the sound in Sports Mode (flick the dashboard mounted toggle switch which bypasses the muffler) is Nascar loud. This car is suffering under two extremes. It has too much bling, which attracts the Me Too crowd, but the driving is pure enthousiast. Also, 400HP is more than enough for 2750LB, but simplists wanna say "I have 500+HP" not "My power to weight ratio is better than yours"
Thats correct.....its not only about looks and HP, whoever gets around the track fastest is always the winner! I am not familiar with this car, what engine type does it have?
Rijk, Congratulation. Beautiful color ! I love the rear on these things. How does it drive compared to your 360 ?
Beautiful. I had the chance to sit in one, but never drive. Machining on the pedals and linkages is unbelievable. Please post some detail pics for those who haven't seen... Love the windshield, without the top frame. Can you show detail pics of how it latches to the top? TIA. Congrats... Simon
Beautiful car! Stunning color combo and that interior is as good as it gets. Are you selling the 360 now? It's a bit redundant to have two cars that are so similar... Maybe time to upgrade it to a GT?
looks like an amazing car! I saw one at the auto show last year, and think it looks sick. Just noticed that Jet Li uses a Spyker in his new movie "War."
Rory It is the factory demo car that I bought/ bartered. I cannot afford a $300K car. The NY licence plate I reserved is SPYKER. It was still available.
Audi 4.2L V8, as in the RS4 Nice car, Rijk! There won't be many of the same when you go to meets. What I would like to see is a black Spyker with all of the intakes and venting done in "black chrome" rather than regular.
Ryan, This car is #107 out of 207 worldwide. Actually they have one car in California that they are deblinging. Everything gets blacked out, just like you said.
A Karmann built Spyker! Very good! Very exiting to drive! I'll have a piano black Laviolette with lipstick red interior, please.
I like the Spyker but surely that rear end is what you would get if you mated a catfish and an alien.
Awesome, you definetley don't see one of those everyday! The colors are absolutley gorgeous. Congrats and enjoy the fine machine!
Congrats Rijk, you have there a beautiful car and that combo fits excellent in the car. BTW talking about Spyker´s...did any of you know what number is the Spyker that was or is in Mexico...as far as I remember it is black
Congrats! Very nice car. Have you caneled the order for the Alfa Romeo 8C or F430? I like the spyker more than the Alfa.
I could not get the 8C, but I ended up with the C8. Close enough. The 430 Spider is fully specked out and I hope to get that one by the end of the year.
Oh, nice choice. Love the C8, amazing design, better than the 8C. Where have you the S2000 in europe standing? tin the nederlands? Do you get also the F430 in the same color like the 360? Sorry for all the questions. I knew, I am terrible.
It's a great car and I'd certainly take one if a client offered it to me!! I've seen the ones here at Lambo LV a few times and the build quality and machining of the metals (esp the cockpit) are great. I was wondering if that brushed metal dash gives a lot of glare though, and I wish they'd offer a "three prop" steering wheel instead of the four- looks like a yacht wheel. I see yours has a replacement leather wheel which looks nice and far less distracting for the driver. How is the throttle response? I wonder if that gear is all Audi. I ask because my car has the same 4.2L but it does have that fly-by-wire lag in the pedals. Sometimes it seems like it's figuring out what to do from a stop and others it will jump off the line. Maybe that's more transmission related.
