Fall Spotters

Carla, perhaps Skips referring to the last generation of MR2... even stock they are pretty angular ... from the right angle (coming up from behind them on the highway especially) I have thought I was coming up on some exciting car, till I got up close enough to see what it was. I could sorta see the momentary confusion from this angle. The general proportions of the most recent generation MR2 are close enough that they are being used as the basis for 355, 360, 430, and even Gallardo spyder replicas..
tho the windshield angle is way different for gallardo - coming up from behind ya don't see that much.. .

And what's going on in Gurnee lately? Sunday I saw a Red 430 coupe by Linens N Things, and last night I saw a yellow 355 spyder with challenge grill (or at least a black taillight panel) heading west on Grand.

Red 599 with (what appeared to be) all the options:
bargain price of $500,000.00

also a cool 512BBi that they are taking in on consignment red/tan, solid paint (no boxer trim), 7500 miles.

 

Not bad..half a mil, I haven't seen a 599 listed for that yet.

That 308 at "Phillips Motors" in Arlington Heights is still there. That car hasn't moved since the snow plow broke the window over it.

Sunday morning there was a very clean red 308 GTB at the Chicago Yacht Club. A black 512TR at Diversey Harbor. Then at the Bears game, a silver Gallardo Spider, Green GT3RS, and a yellow Maser GS.

 

A yellow 360 Spider heading down Route 120 yesterday around 4:30.

 

See a Red F430 at the Lou Malnati's on Lincoln Ave. in Lincolnwood once in a while.....anyone know who's it is? (anyone on here?)

 

Sunday on 94 I was driving next to a new red 430, owner was very cool.
Also Aston Martin conv. and a Rolls Royce Pantom all within a few cars apart.

 

Balloon white lp640 on the corner of 159th & Kedzie in some parking lot at 3am, why am I spotting so many exotics in shady parts of town lately??

Here is a vid of a balloon white lp640. Hard to capture the color on vid but it looks like a stretched out white balloon, sorta like the pearl white that gm uses on cadi's.

Anyway, if anyone wants to see this car I have seen it three times since in the same location around 3am in front of a dry cleaners.

also keep spotting an all black fgt around college dr. and cicero ave.

 

Saw a gray gallardo spyder in the schaumburg area today. My third time seeing this car. I bet the guy lives in one of those huuuuge houses in south barrington.
