Well.........I went to bed an hour earlier last night and got up at 530 AM.....did 30 minutes on the treadmill.......and man do I feel good....fully energized......versus when I did it the last 2 days at night, I was dead afterwards.

    Interesting dat.

Diet may be important to lose weight, but for someone who already weighs around 150lbs, it did not make a difference at all. There again, other than Pepsi, my diet is already not bad (ie mostly vegetables, pasta, balanced meals and stuff ... thanks mom and dad for the habit :) ).
Only time I really lost weight was last year while traveling. I was never hungry ... and always walked around. Went from 160 to 145lbs within 2 weeks.

What I really hate though is when you get in the habit of working out a little (ie 20-30 mins 4-5 days a week) ... and then you stop for whatever reason. After just a week, your shape is far worse than it was before you started working out. Lotsa work, so I couldn't find the time to work out for a week ... went playing tennis and couldn't move after just 30min.

There is no hard, fast answer...........

It depends on the individual. Everyone's body is a little different and even personal preference and exercise routing will play into what is right for you.

Some people like to workout in the AM ........ some in the PM. Some like the same routine.....Some like to mix it up. Just do what you like, but as Nike says....Just Do It.....

The only caution I would tell you is to let your HR time to come up in the AM and down in the evening. So, if you workout in the AM, I wouldn't do it just as you got up and if you workout in the evening, I wouldn't do it just before bed.

Also, if you are not real flexible, then give your body a chance to warm up before you workout..

    Just my opinion

I believe cardio is best done early in the morning, before breakfast. That is if you want to burn fat.

Say moderate intensity jogging for 30 - 60 mins. You must have a decent breakfast afterwards, however, because your body will be in a catabolic state after the nights sleep, and will begin breaking down muscle aswell if you don't eat.

I agree about the early morning time frame but you benefit from doing it at any time. I was working out first thing but lately after breakfast and before lunch about 11am and I am enjoying that right now.
