Joe, It`s not "Martin T" its Martin S. from Argentina. At that time when he bought it, the price he paid was a steal against the money you have to put on the table today. And all this within 12 months....! It was an excellent buy. We can only hope that the car will return to its original color at some day!

    Ciao!
    Walter

Well at least Ive got his first name in order :)

Agreed, youd think with a little effort they could have faithfully replicated that unusual Verde Scuro...

Raymond he was a Austro-Hungarian with an American link. I dont know if youre aware but Rossetti was a 'silent' partner.

Reti owned Periscopa 1120132 but its not clear that car was ever in Switzerland.

    Hi Joe,
Thanks for clearing that up. Also note that the bumper, light lens, and side windows are colored silver,
to give the car a more vintage classic look. With the chosen color a kinda 1120001 look alike...

    Ciao!

What a joke! In prison like Lord Brocket, and back to Verde Scuro at once!

I'm trying to learn here Joe. In the past, I only concentrated on Lamborghini's in the Netherlands,
together with my friend Marcel de Lange. Since he passed away last year, I decided to learn more about all Classic Lamborghini's.
Just spotting, tracking, take pictures when I can, and try to match the cars with chassisnumbers, that's big fun!
Please note that english is not my native language, so sometimes the sharp conversations and wit humor puzzles me, but I'll do my best to make Marcel feel proud of me from above.

    Ciao!

I think what confuse us is this. Look closely at the right window frame. It is similar to 1120001. Apart from the window frame, the car looks standard LP400 for me. For example, no hole for a window washer nozzle at the center of a panel just behind the bonnet, non-sharp air duct under the nose, backward located side turn signal etc.

According to this article, the LP500 prototype had a "box-section" frame (apparently like a Miura). This is the first time that I have heard this.

If this is true, then the car that was "crash tested" was structurally very different from all of the cars that came later (tubular "space-frame") and wasn't a very representative test subject.
