Now I wonder what state has the most Ferrari's registered but not garaged there.
I just moved to Iowa recently (ouch...), and in the Des Moines area alone including myself and (3) buddies, we account for (12) of them! There are (19) others registered in that (Polk) county. And, yeah besides ours, I rarely see any of those other (19) running around. The rest are scattered throughout the rest of the state. Also, unbelievably, there are even a few Diablos, Countachs, various Maseratis (new and old), and Lotuses (new and old) in the state as well...Since the insurance / finance boom of the last decade, Des Moines has attracted much more affluence than it previously had. However, there is still probably more money on Lake Shore Drive (in Chicago), than in the entire state of little ol' Iowa!!!
Chicago Tribune had an April article on Illinois car ownership: 479 Ferraris. Illinois also has 35,404 Chevy Corvettes, 14,032 Porsches, 934 Dodge Vipers, 231 Acura NSXs, 81 Lamborghinis, 69 Ford GTs, 69 Lotus Esprit Turbos, 47 Aston Martins, 53 Yugos, 156 Volkswagen "The Thing", 3 Renault Fuegos, 36 AMC Pacers, 47 Chevrolet Corvairs, 141 DeLoreans, 7 LaForza sport-utilities, 4 Lamborghini LM002 sport utilities, 74 Merkur Scorpios, 191 Ford Pintos
Texas should be higher than that they are second behind CA in terms of total registered cars. There is a lot of wealth in the Texas statewide and they have two very large MSAs, Houstson and DFW. AZ is quite impressive as I see a Ferrari in Scottsdale almost every day but not as much as CA, FL or TX.. New York and CT have a ton too no doubt but I bet TX has more..

What about Washington (State)? There are a lot of young (<50 yrs old) Microsoft engineers with lots of stock& cash. Just a guess. DKHIGHPERF
I'll presume this list is just a guess, because Colorado and Utah are unquestionably higher than their placement on here. You would be surprised. I'm also certain that Indiana, Minnesota, New Jersey, and Missouri are ranked too high. I'd be surprised if Alaska has Wyoming beat. And, Montana has a surprising number of Ferraris registered there due to its lack of sales tax.
You're 100% correct. We are definately jaded here. Almost nothing short of a Veyron or an Enzo will guarantee you any kind of exclusivity.
Minnesota has plenty of F-cars, but it seems that about a third have Florida plates due to it being cheaper to register there.
There was a story a few months ago in the Hartford Courant about car registrations (talk of changing the car tax); I seem to recall they said 94 Ferrari's registered in Greenwich, CT alone.
