Great day ! Tim (trr) graciously hosted a few of us for the Belgium GP to start the day. Thank you very much again Tim !! Then we had a nice little twisty backroads ride to Mangia Bene. I still can't believe we didn't get bagged when our detectors detected "The Boys" when we really should have been bagged ! My heart sank and I thought for sure we were sunk. But none the worse for wear. Perhaps that particular law enforcement agent was a Ferrari fan ?!?! Also thanks to Claudio for opening his wonderful little Italian establishment for us. Great paninis !!! We had 8 cars show up from as far as Worcester, Medfield, Fall River and Somerset. Thanks to Mike J., Steve, Gino and Luis for making it to Mansfield. Hey Andrew a GT4 drove past us a little after noon and we thought it might have been you ! Plus you weren't there to defend yourself as Mike and I were ribbing on you for taking so long to get your interior back together
Yes excellent day for a drive and our gathering. Unfortunately on the 2nd drive we lost Dino in the traffic while driving though Mansfield/Norton/Taunton. Thanks again to Claudio ( Mangia Bene owner ) for arranging parking for us and his restaurant. Here is a picture from today. Nice to see the meeting is growing overtime and a great bunch of guys. Thanks again to Tim...had a great time. It was awesome to see our group grow. Maybe we'll break 10 cars next meet. I've copied the program schedule from Speed below. Let's plan for the next race. We can either do a midnight run and watch the race live or we can go for a Sunday afternoon cruise and end up at FofNE to watch the race at 4:30?? Hey Guys it was great meeting you all. I had a blast! I guess I need to go to driving school...I am definitely the slowest driver of the group! I got stuck at the lights before the left turn thats near the highway. I didn't know if you guys went over the hill or just jumped on 495. I checked over the hill a little and then turned around and jumped on the highway but I did not see anyone. Even being last in the pack was fun, its quite a sight watching and being part of a 430/360/TR/308/328 convoy. Next time I'll bring my portable GPS unit incase I'm trailing the pack again. It was a great time and I hope to see you guys again soon. Thanks again to Tim and Claudio for setting things up. Anyone in the area should definitely come to the future events. Hi guys, it was great to see all of you on Sunday. Thanks to Tim for having us at his home to watch the race. I really enjoyed the 1-2 Ferrari, and maybe, maybe I enjoyed it even more seeing team Mc Laren sulk even more than before. No need to thank me for opening Mangia Bene for all of you. It's our pleasure any time. It is really great to see such passion for these cars even on the other side of the Atlantic, I feel like I am back in Italy! Looking forward to getting together to watch another race with you and drool over your cars Also thank you to Kenny ( I hope I got your name right) for taking Alec for a spin, he still hasn't stopped smiling.
