congratulations on getting the car back. Fernando did my 30k service when he was at FoW(and put the Hyperflows and Tubi on) and it has run grat since. He is a superb tuner

Makes me almost wish I had gotten my major locally so that I could drop in daily to inspect and take pictures. Now that you have it home, drive it. You'll love it. I feel guilty, the Porsche has been in the garage for the past two months and the Vette has only been out abut five times. I had no intention of putting so many miles on the Ferrari, but it is so addicting.

you know, I'd rather not post final prices here just out of respect to competizione since they've been more than fair to me, but I will say, parts were exactly the same price I could find as ricambi, the 30k major only part of this (belt service) was exactly what was quoted to me and $2000 *less* than FoW quote. The head work (take off, clean, change all valve guides, level surface, put back on, new gaskets) was the $3K I mentioned before. The single most expensive part other than the hyperflows was that stupid chain tensioner at $550. changing that was on top of everything else.

And yes, the HELOC did pick up some of the overage from budget here :) :) But hey, you only live once.....

It's at least done right. The car is sorted out now well, and it should last you a long time. Enjoy it, I bet it sure feels better now driving it than it did before.

I'd say that for the work they did on your top end, $3k is a steal. We are lucky to have such a great independent shop in our neighborhood.
