Hi, I am wondering if there is any Indonesian here? I live in OC (Southern California) not Indo, but always wonder if there is any other Indonesian here. We have hard time deciding whether to stick around, or going back to Indonesia. We love it here, but it's different when most of your friends and family are on the other side of the globe. Not really enjoying the workload(s)..but am enjoying the perks of being free...at least in CN! 355 dah lama dijual Pak. I'm in the Pcar camp now, a 996TT. But I sure miss the 355.. Kalau ada rezeki, most prolly going to have a 'sister/brotherhood' with yer red one.....
Hehehehe ... I know what you mean by enjoying of being free .. Pcar is great sport car too. May I know what are the differences you feel between 996TT and F355? I like to hear from you my friend. I am sure you'll get it very soon and right now you are getting a lot of "rejeki" ...
In a nutshell, the 996TT is waaay quicker and faster than the 355. I bought it because I need the rear seats for the kids, so that I can take them with me on my jaunts. Then again, it's an oxy-moronish thing to do kerna bila ada anak-anak dibelakang, mana bisa kita perlakukan mobil itu seperti yang kita mau.. Therefore I learnt my lesson, go back to a strict two seater later on for all the fun that can be had without fear of putting our family in danger since they can't follow anyways.. As commented in the 348/355 section, the 355 needs lotsa revs to be truly alive. But 'alive' it is... The Porsche on the underhand is forced inducted and whatever they say, the lag is still there once yer familiar with it and it and the whole car feels a tad 'artificial'. Kelebihan Ferrari adalah 'soul' or 'roh' bahasa kita. The car drives fantastic and makes us 'feel' fantastic at the same time. The Pcar drives well and..er..that's about it. Doesn't look enticing after a while and you don't feel like taking it for a 'walk' like how'd you feel if you have an Fcar in the garage/porch and yer not doing nuthin'... Then again, the Porsche doesn't cost much to maintain. In fact, it's almost the same maintenance league as a BMW7/MBZSclass, at least in MY. Tyres and the Mobil-1s costs more than the Bimmer and Benz but other than that it's been too dead reliable and no funny warning lights lighting up whatsoever.... Rasa macam mobil biasa sahaja Pak.....which can be both a good and bad thing...! Kekadang what most people say about the Ferraris and Porsches in this world is so spot on.... Ferrari ibarat 'Perempuan Simpanan' dan Porsche, 'Isteri'.....Yang satu boleh dipercayai dan untuk selamanya...Yang satu banyak ragamnya dan menghendaki banyak perkara dan tumpuan, tetapi ketika bersama...Waduuh Pak...! The best is to have both...I mean the cars..not the women!!!! p/s : Everytime I looked at F1VTEC's 355 I drooled. My fave colour outside of Rosso for an Fcar....
Huahahahahhahahaha ... Waduh .. those were very funny statement .. I felt the same feeling like you, but once you get the CS, you will enjoy it even more. GT2 can give you more thrill then TT but there is no back seat, how about GT3? I never drive GT3.
GT2 , for my driving skills at least....Ballistically Frightening at 8/10s...especially the 993 versh. Yang itu 'Animal' Pak!! (Georg Kacher, a fame journo from DE once said that if you want to go home to see yer family everyday..take the 993tt. If you want to walk on the wild side and have no family..take the 993GT-2!!) GT3, I've driven both 996s MkI and II and both are very stiffly sprung for road use, but a great track car. The 997GT3 I drove but only once and feels slightly 'softer' but a scalpel nonetheless. CS, I drove once, normally and also in anger. Balik terus demam Pak.... Currently the 7GT3 has the best soundtrack of road Porsches, ever. Kalau Pak bisa, the 7GT3 will complement yer CS very nice indeedy..... In MY, harga 7GT3 baru sama dengan harga CS terpakai ( year '04, 4kkm mileage). I believe it should be the same as in ID ya Pak?
Pak Isk, how much 996 GT2 in MY? I drove my friend's 996 GT2 and it was quite interesting but honestly speaking, I still prefer to drive CS even though GT2 was felt faster then CS. Like you said, the feeling & the thrill when you drive it really make you smile and give you happiness of owning & enjoying the CS. I don't know about the GT3 price range in Indo because not many of GT3 series, mostly will be TT, GT2, and Carrera. Pak Iskandar, Kalau balik terus demam artinya very soon you have to switch to CS sir... .. demamnya bisa makin bertambah but in a good way ... ... anyway TT will be more comfortable for long journey compare to Fcar so each has it's own greatness.
996GT2 in MY when new is MYR1.4MM, the stock TT was 1.2MM, GT3 was 1.1MM. Now, GT2 still commands MYR800k-1.0MM Itulah Pak..demam seronok..CS = Challenge Stradale = Cinta Sejati.. TT comfortable on longer journey(s) and quieter as well. But on undulating roads, the bobbing of the nose up and down does get on the nerves..! In fact, the 355 rides bumps better than any Porsche..Ajaib tapi Benar...
