What is equally disturbing is that our legal system could enable guilty parties to be found innocent of this sort of atrocity.

And that people out there actually think these sicko's deserve to have rights. Those people are equally as sick. The all need to wear one type of clothing, they all need to have license plates that have a different color as has been proposed. So on and so forth.

I'd prefer him not be behind bars very long....maybe a few months, then we can put him underground.

Don't think someone like that would last long in jail. I am sure he would wind up in some sort of "accident."

I say stick that guy in prison, in the general population, and tell all of the inmates he's easy. Time for him to get it back.

Let's be careful; lest George Orwell be reincarnated. I know you are civilized. They are not. Let's not join them albeit in a different way.

Some of the "Cures" that have been suggested are a bit rough. I do understand how we all feel but, they have the common factor of reaction rather than pro-action. A fact of modern life is that Mothers are no longer home during the day. People are busy and bad things can happen in a split second. The answer lies in collective pro-action. Be observant. Look out for your neighbor's children even if you have none or yours are grown and I don't mean you should interfere.

My neighbor across the street has two little girls around eight and ten respectively. I'm retired and am at home a lot in the afternoon. I understand that they cannot watch these kids every moment. I fill in the gaps quietly by taking a peek out the front window every so often just to see what is going on. I know who does and does not live here. If I don't like what I see I'll call over to them. I guess I'd rather be labeled as a snoop than be called as a pallbearer. IMHO.

I cant recall where I read it but it basically said that the majority of taped kiddie porn is created by organized groups that breed these children for this purpose. Supposedly there are thousands of these people and the children are their own and they keep them secluded from the outside world.

That makes it very difficult to track them down... I guess they often bust the buyers of the tapes (as this guy was) but rarely do they get the actual creators.

Its crazy but unfortunately I dont doubt it. Wish I could remember the article..might be rolling stone.

That is a great approach, and everyone should have that attitude towards all children, whether they are parents or not. It would be nice to think that if everyone contributed in this sense, that no child would ever get snatched by some psychopath. Unfortunately, this probably would not be the case. These psychopaths are very good at manipulating children, and all they need is a split second.

People like the one who made that video has something inside of them that I don't feel is curable. Even if they were deemed "cured", I would never, ever believe it. They can never be trusted amongst normal society, ever. What is to be done? Lock them up for life? Well, you and I get to pay for that - personally, I'd rather see my tax dollars put to good use instead of keeping a psychopath alive, one that changed a little girl's life forever, if he hasn't already ended her life.

A bullet to the back of the head is a cheap, quick, permanent solution - that gets my vote.

People like this should not be given any kind of trial at all. I'm thinking something subjecting them to something like in the movie Hostel would be appropriate.
