I’m looking at Murcie’s right now and it’s turning out a bit different than any high end car search I’ve done. First, I’m looking at ’03-05 years and I’m very surprised about the amount of turnover on the cars. It’s not surprising to see an ’03 with <10K miles and 4 owners. There are good cars out there but I’m surprised how many have never had the basics of fluids changed and so on. People seem more likely to pop for the bling wheels or thumping stereo rather than have the car reviewed once a year and fully serviced. Plenty of crappy run hard FCars out there but Ferrari owners seem more likely to take better care of the mechanicals and routine stuff that can turn into big stuff.

Also, while many indy dealers that sell Fcars are marginal I think the Ferrari dealers are pretty solid. The range in Lambo branded stores is very wide from first class to guys putting junk out there that shouldn’t be on a high end lot. I had an authorized dealer tell me that the car didn’t need a PPI because it had a clean CarFax. WTF? Growing pains?

At any rate, the search continues but it makes it harder to leave the G I’ve got.
    End of rant.

Some of the new Lambo dealers are having growing pains, and as always it depends on the person you talk with. A lot of dealers have multiple brands and so you get a very varied set of knowledge in the sales people.

We are a Lambo only dealer as far as new cars go and we only do Lambo,Ferrari, and Porsche used cars, except for the occasional trade.

As far as Lambo and multiple owners it seems to be the case with 12 cylinder cars. The Gallardo tends to be more of a drivers car, and is kept longer.

    Good luck with the search!

One other thing I've noticed during my Murcie hunt is that every owner claims to have a new clutch installed. Even Murcies with <4K miles.

Be patient and wait for the right Lambo and always foot the bill for a PPI!!!

    Good Luck!

Thanks Steve. you had a car that I would have been interested in but posted as sold. Assuming the cars are solid, your prices seemed in line.

The good news is that there are some solid cars starting to come forward. I'll wait for the right one and an easy straight forward transaction.
