Wow!!! Just gotta have a go in one of these babies................anyone else drooling ? And its only a V8! SSC Aero TT 0 to 60 mph: 2.78 seconds. v8 Twin Turbo : 1180 hp : 2007 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The highly anticipated 1180 HP 2007 SSC Ultimate Aero TT" (Twin-Turbo) is a U.S. legal production car that was specifically designed to surpass the 253 mph top speed record currently held by the Bugatti Veyron. According to the SSC website this is stable to 275 mph (in a wind tunnel). At that speed I could take the 3 kids to school individually, seperate journeys, quicker than I did this morning. But then again, English roads have corners... When I were a lad... American muscle cars/ corners... not a real match made in heaven.
But lets be honest Nick, I dont think most Bugatti Veyrons get taken round spaghetti junction.......sad fact of life, but these cars usually just end up in collections and don't get driven to anywhere near there capabilities.
True Rob, but the Veyron does get parked outside posh London hotels. I guess they must trailer them into the carpark - then air lift them back to Saudi.
Wow ugly car. I've heard a lot about this car and its performance. Has it actually been tested or are these manufacturers claimed figures?
What about these pics of it?. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Pete, I've seen many pictures of the car and its screams kit to me. I'm not sure what the price of one of these is but i imagine it to be in the region of £150k. The front is definitely not the worst apect of the car with those wierd headlights etc followed but the fairly crude side, the rear probably being the best part of it, even then. For the money, I'd definitely go elsewhere. Regards, Matthew
I know that - just thinks it looks as though its been bunged on top instead of being routed nicely out of sight - all other decent car makers seem to be able to do it!
Exhaust wrap is a home DIY solution. When was the last time you saw it on a showroom Aston, Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, SLR etc etc etc Doesn't scream quality product to me.
Sad fact Simon, but i think very few of the manufacturers you list remember what quality is. I mean take a look at the Aston keys - they're the same as a Ford Transit ffs... Image Unavailable, Please Login
You're probably right mate, but the whole SSC thing leaves me a bit cold. I'm sure its very fast but someone earlier in the thread mention kitcar-ish-ness, which struck a cord.
