Post pictures of NYC because I am going!

Guys,

I am headed to NYC in 15 minutes! I really have no idea where I am going; I just know that the hotel is in Manhattan. This is my first time going and going with a great group of friends. I am not sure what exactly we are going to do but I am sure there are going to be a ton of good pictures, especially since I am just starting to play around with RAW photos and will be shootting with both my SLR and P&S.

If you have any ideas on where I should visit, suggest them or post of pictures of them!

I, too, am visiting NYC, but in a few weeks.

I think this thread would've been more successful if posted in the NY/Tristate section.

 

ok you guys dont really know much about the city but one of the best things that i did while I was there for 3 weeks this summer was walking across the Brooklyn Bridge at sunset. Glorious. There is so much to do outside of the touristy areas like times square (probably my least favorite part of the city) just explore and have fun

I know the photos are rather poor, I had them and then they were deleted so I was only able to salvage a few that I had backed up though they were not the best shots

Yeah, I didn't think about that. I am having a blast but don't have internet access!!! I am at the Apple store across from The Plaza! I think I have a couple of good pictures but we will see once I get back.

 

I hope you're having a good time! I've only been in the city once and we were in a rush. We went to see the Christmas Spectacular, walked through Times Square, and passed by Rockefeller Center. I'll be there for 4 days, so I want to experience a lot more.

 

Had an amazing time there this past weekend!!! I am loading the pictures on my computer now and I will post them in a little while.

I ended up missing my flight because I thought it was for 9:25 PM but it was actually 9:25 AM!!!!! But the was an awesome ticket lady who helped me out and ended up getting a emergency row seat and no one sitting next to me! It was a very scary ended to an extremely fun trip.

Ok, finally I was able to upload them. We didn't walk across the bridge but I am sure that I will be going back soon. I love everything except for the Captain and Coke prices!!!! $9 for a eight oz. glass that is half glass!!! RIP OFF!!!!

Wow! Those are really great shots. Are you a photographer? Also, do you have a bigger picture of Lennon's memorial?

In the picture with the Statue of Liberty, were you on the Brooklyn bridge? I'm going to visit my best friend and she suggested we go to the Brooklyn bridge to see it b/c the boats take forever to get there and they no longer allow visitors inside the statue.

I'll definitely share my pictures when I get back. I'll be visiting my best friend, brother, sister-in-law, nephew, and new niece! I'm going in a month and I can't wait!!
