I was thinking of changing the bumper on my UK 3.2 to something similar in style to a 355 /348 - I havnt looked at sizes of other bumpers or how feasable this is - anyone have any thoughts or photos mondials that have been done.
I know Andrewg some time ago was doing a thread but it never got fininshed.

total side view doesn't look bad at all, but when you see the angled shot: I have to agree with you....looks ill-suited.

next, he'll buy a 355 and put 348 grates on it for a spash...just leave things the way they were unless you need some track advantages

I think the 348 bumper on it could look quite smart, just give it a bit of a face lift since I think the orignal bumper just "dates" the car a bit. Although I am a bit of a purist in the way of thats the way it left the factory thats how it stays. Any modifications made would therefore be cosmetic and easily reversered. Unless someones looking to buy a mondial in which case Ill just buy the 348.... maybe not the four seats are just too practical

I do like the side view with no black accents.
The 348 bumper looks better than the 355 style.
I think the 3.2 bumpers are the way to go with no black trim.

Any one have a set of 3.2 bumpers for sale?

3.2 bumpers are like rocking horse poo, I have been after a pair for about 6 years, the only bumpers I have ever seen for sale are badly damaged.

As I just put in the Pm to you, the yellow bumper was apparently from a 348 challenge car and 'was' going to be used as a pattern but nothing ever materialised:(

    Nino,

If you deceide to change the bumpers go with the 348 set as they go very well with the shape of the Mondial.

As you know I have a spare 348 front bumper that you can try and the rear is also off the car as well, so all you need to do is get your spanners out!!

PS, 348 wheels also look good on Mondials as well..!!!

    Regards,
    Phil.

    Pete,

As discussed earlier, I will be doing a set of direct replacement (bolt-on) front & rear GRP bumpers for the Mondial that still keep the family resemblance, however, this will not be until September as the Monzer comes first. No bodywork changes will be needed (unlike the 3.2 bumpers) so completely reversable.

It looks so much better with the 348 bumper, not a bad way to add some updates & more style to a Mondial.

Thats true. There was a front bumper on fleabay a couple of months ago for £50, it was damaged and had been repaired and was just the bare bumper.

let me know when you sort out a price so I can start saving, I've just received the Xdi ignition and an uprated water pump from Nick Scianna:)

That would work well, as we could possibly have both sets sent to the uk at the same time to save us on shipping

I would be very interested in a way to get rid of the black bumpers on my m8.
Yes, finding 3.2 bumpers is impossible.

Bwaaaaahahaaaaa, you were going to send me the materials to make you a set in return for promoting the bumpers on your "race car", no materials no bumpers!..........we've done 4 sets so far this year, yet the 10 litres of resin, catalyst and fibre glass from you still havent materialised!
